    Out of many worthwhile comments that I find here, I just have to say that hearing those aggressive revs in a VW family van driven by a Catholic mum all to the rhythm of dangling rosaries made my day - I had to rewind at first to realise it must have been a soundtrack! haha

    It's true that there is so much in Sarah's testimony for us all, especially for women who are learning about the faith but have come from a very feminist way of thinking. Thank you for this wonderful episode

    Sarah - the way you described your reluctance to embrace the faith is so relatable. Then to see the fruit of your journey as you are now, flourishing and living your legacy, is truly moving. Thank you Sarah, Maria and Pete xxx

    Well done to Sarah for writing to her bishop. I had a similar experience when I wrote to my bishop on a different matter. I didn't even receive a reply. But who knows what effect the letters may be having. Maybe they might just put a small thought in the bishop's mind. At least he is aware that there are people who are expressing certain opinions and that not everybody is completely satisfied withy the way things are. And supposing he got a hundred letters saying the same thing! After all, the bishops ask us to write to our MPs on certain issues so they must think that letter-writing has some effect.

    Would be lovely for you to interview someone who has a large family and a career and who hasn’t homeschooled, to see another perspective as well. Maybe Angela B in Cambridge?

    Loved every minute and that's the beauty of our Faith, we all have a past and if we allow Our Lord to open the door, He will transform our lives and of course we cannot do it without Our Lady's help. X

      :) I'm a Brazilian but I've been living in Ireland for the past 9 years. Here I got married to an Catholic Irishman and we have 4 kids (7, 5, 3, 1) 💚 your channel helps me to see that our decision to abandon ourselves in God's hands it's not an alien thing 😂

    • @oneofnine
      @oneofnine  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Not alien but the highest piece of dry land normal still has to stand on. We're here for the long march & Ireland too, once we get back over there.
      Dig out the email and send us a 'Hello'.

    This episode reminded made me think of my maternal grandmother who had a miscarriage whom I never met but thanks to her and my grandad I've been fortunate to have 13 beautiful cousins who have been my best friends growing up. I'm sure sometimes it's tough for kids of large families especially the older ones to perhaps compare themselves with kids who have siblings and who have more stuff or expensive holidays abroad or expensive after school clubs but when they have their own children and they have so many little nieces and nephews to play with they will be so grateful! This is why I want a large family. It's because I know my own children will not have a lot of cousins because I am only one of 3 but I am hoping my grandchildren will.

    Maria, Sarah, what a fascinating and enlightening episode. I was fascinated by the changes in how you have lived your life and "purpose" to use a buzzword.
    @maria I would love to know whether you have encountered couples or people with a real desire to live god's plan, but who are in a relationship or married to non-catholics. How do they live that life? I would find that very inspiring if you know someone in your circle who lives that dynamic.

    Are these videos being filmed during the UK lockdown?

    • @sophieliz1
      @sophieliz1 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Think filming is allowed as the camera man is professional, like how television programmes are still filmed.

    • @sunnygem21

      Yes, that is my understanding too. The other week they were at a convent filming a documentary and did an interview for this channel at the same time.
