The solution is OCG structure of packs and boxes. We don't have to follow their banlist, but at the least staples will either be commons and rares or end up as super or ultra rare with secret rare and above variants. This drastically reduces the price on the secondary market for at least the base prints and ensures better average value of cards in packs. Adding in TCG exclusives can be phased out or kept in (I lean against having exclusives, it's just more work from TCG that doesn't need to happen).
We dont have shortprints on main sets, and all of the cards mentioned are in main sets. The solution is filling the useless spots of commons with cards actually worth playing, like they did with tenpai

You don’t need these new cards to win, let alone have fun in ygo
this is why i gave up playing this game and just watch yugitubers for my yugioh fix. this game isn't fun to play anymore.

Tha is way stop play competitive is so 😑😑😑
The game can be as complex or as simple as you make it
Money is a problem I don't care how complex it get but... nobody got disposable income in the tcg hell my local for yugioh is dying since not many player come in often like 10 each time. I only went few times for fun but sadly it the only local left in my area. I stopped playing tcg physical card game a year now. I can't afford to spend 1 deck whenever I want tk build one.
@TheDragonfriday I mean they run a business that's focused towards maximizing profit. I truthfully don't blame them for it. If the players choose to buy overpriced products why would they ever drop the price ?
I see ash blossom go the next bannlist to 1
