This is a must for using this action camera in low lighting

Yes it sure is. Only gyro works great in low light.

@@rjfotovideo with low shutter speed? i dont think so.. the same as reelsteady and gopro. here you have high shutter.

Bro, can we stabilize the video using editing App from DJI (DJI Mimo)? Cause I only have my phone. I just bought my Osmo Action 4. And waiting for the delivery. But I don't have computer or laptop to edit. I am a poor guy from a little village of a developing country, who wanted to start making youtube video.

You can just use the in camera RockSteady stabilization so no need to stabilize after in post.

Short and crisp. Thank you for teaching this. Could you make a content for Gyroflow tutorial. I'm using Osmo Action 4 and new to photography.

I will do that, thank you.

Why? Why not just use rocksteady?

Rocksteady is indeed so much better, but in low light where RS struggle, it is worth trying out gyro stabilization.

@@rjfotovideoNo, you still need high shutter speeds for gyroo stabization, whether in camera or in post.

Hi, thanks so much for the video.
Apparently I damaged my new Action 4 when filming underwater recently - the lens cap wasn't tight and water got in. I managed to dry the camera and it works fine but RockSteady is no longer working. So I started exploring options and wanted to try shooting without EiS and then stabilizing footage in Gyroflow. However now when I'm trying it, Gyroflow says "no motion data available" even though all my videos were shot with RockSteady OFF. I tried shooting in both Standard and Wide angle (read on forums that drones have to be in the Wide mode strictly to record gyro data) but both footage are considered by Gyroflow to be "with no motion data".
Do you know what the issue could be?

I'm really sorry to hear that you have damaged your camera. It is actually strange that only the Rocksteady is not working, but probably because of some electronics.
Gyroflow should work if you use Wide and shoot in 4:3 ratio and I think it was from 24 fps up to 60 fps.
I have sometimes myself struggled to get it to work just because I didn't record in the right settings.
But gyroflow on OA4 is not really that great, and often it will not work as we want since they use a different kind of gyro-stabilization (it seems like) than like those from Insta360 like Ace Pro, One RS etc.
Have you tried reaching out to DJI about your camera and how much to fix it? Maybe you could get it under warranty if they find the door must be bad.

@@rjfotovideo thank you so much for your response.
Apparently I wasn't recording in 4:3...will check on this.
I reached out to DJI already but it's hard/takes long to get any service where I'm traveling right now. I'll have to solve this issue with DJI when I'm back in the US only in about a month.
UPD: changed to 2.7/4:3 Wide angle, still doesn't find motion data...
