I love how Christopher Walken makes clearly reading the cue cards offscreen part of his performance. He's one of my favorite hosts! Also the way they dangled him half way offscreen was perfect.
I don’t know why this poster added that “this is one of those sketches” intro, other than to make it more mysterious and interesting but this sketch WAS aired. I watched it “live” when it first aired on April 8, 2000. I thought it was hilarious then! Like, this is the ACTUAL skit! I don’t know what this TH-camr is talking about.
@@seanbax3051 The second one was pretty good as well, and the third one was ok, had some great call backs and I loved the ending. That last scene made the whole thing worth it.
That’s prolly why they cut it! It would make the sketches they ultimately went with look lame by comparison. This is actually funny! That’s the last thing they wanted in the show! Lol!
Christopher Walken is seriously awesome, that voice & delivery can be terrifying, haunting, scary, creepy, authoritative, or freaking hysterically funny. Even his Bai commercial with Timberlake was something I wanted to see repeatedly!
Yeah he is … remember that time he acted like he didn’t see anything when him and Robert Wagner through Natalie Wood off the boat? Everyone believed them 😂 Allegedly🤔
@@BlunderMunchkintrue... I think I'm just biased. Christopher Walken is one of those guys, like Bill Murray or Jim Carrey, for me... whenever he talks, I either laugh or listen or both lol
Thank you! It's the best SNL skit I never saw and almost didn't but then suddenly did. And it was the best because it couldn't have come at a better time. Friggin genius! I love it
I was thinking of my Moms last days, when she told me she thought she was seeing angels (and also scary stuff) She was in the hospital two weeks before she died from cancer complications. This is why this skit, did not seem like a Saturday Night Live, knee slapper to me.
@@morellawalker373 Emo used to make me suck on my asthma meds like a $2 hooker when hed find a hottie in the front row and start his attempts of seduction. Throw his sweater off his shoulders and breathing like a horney bull dog.
Should've never been cut...this was magic...(I appreciate their effort to bring angel-appearance-awareness to the forefront of near-end-of-life experiences...)
Who’s watching in 2024?
I’m watching
Me!😁
Dude... just stop. It's old. Just let it go lol. It's over.
☝️Present 😂
The fact that he's wearing Converse sneakers is the icing on the cake
He's funky. He's always been funky
@@dickstryker 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I feel comfortable in black; it's slimming.
At least they weren’t BK Knights.
Yeah that's why the sketch got cancelled
The "Lucifer would have bowled you into hell" line is brilliant.
That one got me good
Right? It's a travesty that line didn't make it to air.
holy sh*t I thought he said "pulled" you into hell but that's so much better. epic line.
I love how Christopher Walken makes clearly reading the cue cards offscreen part of his performance. He's one of my favorite hosts! Also the way they dangled him half way offscreen was perfect.
He and Alec Baldwin are probably the best, though Justin Timberlake holds his own.
I'm told he had to blow someone to be let down after.
What show is this from?
@@Leprutz Saturday Night Live.
He's awesome always funny
If Christopher Walken was the host, you knew the show was gonna be good. Love the classic SNL
It's funny because when I was growing up watching these episodes, classic SNL was something totally different
Foreal tho
This is a skit that would've been remembered for decades had it aired.
Probably so.
Yeah, it would have been cowbell-status.
Remembered as a bucket of diarrhea, maybe.

I'm Funky!! i've Always been Funky!!😂🤣😂
I’ve been looking for excuses to say (in accent): “I’m funky, I’ve always been funky!” My family is getting tired of it.
But I’m notttt….😂
One of the best lines ever!😂
That was definitely better than about 50% of the sketches that do air.
SNL is dead
RIGHT?? What were they thinking? I’ve watched this a dozen times already. 😂
Truth laced comedy is my favorite kind.
Why TF did this not air !!!!??🖤
Yes, but ALL of the Christopher Walken skits kill.
I love how he always freakishly looks off screen at the cue cards. 😂
haha. yeah, I noticed that too. never looks at the lady
I mean why memorize lines that are gonna get cut :P
Every guest does that.
It’s the 1000 yard stare
@@jenkem4464 Walken makes it ESPECIALLY noticeable. XD
It’s not easy to be a goth angel. But he was so scary as Gabriel in _The Prophecy_ …just without the Ramones haircut
😂😂😂
and the shoes... but then again in the third movie he had a trumpet
He actually does look like Johnny Ramone here, and speaking of punk bands: I always found it funny that Danzig randomly appears in The Prophecy 2.
That Dee Dee Ramone
Excellent movie except for that ending
Nothing is so bizarre as a Christopher Walken role. All of them. He is the absolute King of Bizarre.
Christopher Walken will always be The Archangel Gabriel to me. I loved the Prophecy movies.
Me too
This is why it works so well.
Agreed. And I liked him playing the Angel of death in that Madonna video. I like to imagine they're the same character.
The 1st one was solid
@@seanbax3051 The second one was pretty good as well, and the third one was ok, had some great call backs and I loved the ending. That last scene made the whole thing worth it.
Christopher Walken is a national treasure.
Yess indeed he is!!! 🤣
A global treasure
Yes 👍 Always & 4 Ever...
❤️ love this guy
Mel Gibson thinks Chris Walken is really the antichrist.
Walken being himself as an angel.
*_"You're lucky I gave up the driving gloves."_*
who ya gotta blow
The perfect ending with his legs still swaying in the shot.
This is funnier than most of the skits that actually make the show.
Most dress rehearsal sketches are.
@@canaisyoung3601like the Casey Kasem sketch?
My sentiments exactly.
That’s prolly why they cut it! It would make the sketches they ultimately went with look lame by comparison. This is actually funny! That’s the last thing they wanted in the show! Lol!
This isn’t as funny as the other walken sketches. His era had many classics
They got one thing right. Angels are scary and wear converse.
@@Jorge01234 he said: who do I have to blow to get a break around here.
That’s two things
Christopher Walken is seriously awesome, that voice & delivery can be terrifying, haunting, scary, creepy, authoritative, or freaking hysterically funny. Even his Bai commercial with Timberlake was something I wanted to see repeatedly!
And his performance in The Dogs of War must be seen.
Christopher - Walken - is - a - genius.
1:03 - Her scream upon seeing him materialize was actually REALLY haunting, Ana should be in a horror film.
Christopher Walken impersonating Tommy Wiseau.
So between The Prophecy, this Sketch and Click, I think Walken has played the Angel of Death 3 times. And that's no coincidence.
He's explained very thoroughly that he's not the angel of death. Who does he gotta blow to get a break around here?
He's not the angel of death. He just likes to wear black. It's slimming.
Not exactly a death angel but there's also a Madonna music video in which he plays an angel.
And the Madonna video as well.
Plus he played THE Bruce Dickinson producing "Don't Fear The Reaper". The REAPER, get it?

Christopher Walken as an angel from New York. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Christopher Walken is an awesome actor. He's in a class by himself. 👍
Yeah he is … remember that time he acted like he didn’t see anything when him and Robert Wagner through Natalie Wood off the boat? Everyone believed them 😂

His legs dangling at the end was the best part 😀
I love how he's not looking at her throughout the whole sketch to read his lines
That's every SNL skit, ever.

I love this skit! " I'm funky, I've always been funky..." One of the greatest things ever said by Chris Walken. And that's a huge list
I think Lucifer is one of the only entities that would debate stereotyping
Yeah, all the others would agree with it.
Nobody but nobody can make me laugh and honk like a goose better than Christopher Walken.
Christopher was just excited to do some wire work at the end. "This is my Superman moment!"
Holy shit this is hilarious.
There must be a thousand Gems like this existing as lost media.
This might actually be the greatest SNL skit ever
Naaaa I have seen much better
I think Wayne's World was peak SNL
Cheri Oteri was great.
The "Greek diner Gyros" one, with Schneider and Sandler is one of the best imo...
"Aaaah... Do you like it-a-juice, eh?" 😂
He looks like Madonna.
😂😂
He did play the Angel of Death in Madonna's music video for "Bad Girl!"
Why was this cut this is one of the best sketches ever
Someone was likely offended. Fuck ‘em.

There should be a Blu-ray compilation of these lost sketches.
The fact that he’s wearing converses 🤣
I can see why it was cut. If it wasn’t for walken, it would’ve been extra brutal
