I’m actually completely fine with this not being Hardcore. As soon as he said that I had remembered Tucker dying after two episodes in one series.
Yeaa death is often in zombie packs, especially with all the other stuff
Parcool is an amazing mod. It'll really help your escapes. A great tip I found is to set your Breakfall key and your Wallrun key to right-click. You can also climb fences by holding right-click against them and then jumping, and you can slide down walls by holding right click against them. And you can cling to ledges- so you can get up three-block heights. I suggest practicing with it. It's so fun.

So, a note for people who want to play this: the msg about a horde building means that a horde is building near you, NOT that the building itself is a horde location, he just got unlucky on timing
Are you sure? After playin an hour or too playing I only ever got it going near specific building and there was one place I went near about 15 times and every time I got that message so I think it is building based not time based
I’d like to add whenever I got the message a lot of zombies were spawned in a specific building rather than just around me

Tbf the whole world is city’s not much else to go except the ocean not to mention but a lot of early game progression is sped up greatly by looting
Jardon, that 5 minute grace effect was for temperature, not zombies.
Also, check the wiki for the modpack on how to enable hardcore mode.

how his home isn't getting constantly swamped by random zombies spawning around the place is crazy to me, it's like he's playing on a whole nother difficulty than me, i'm having to set up wooden spikes around my little tunnel to keep them from climbing up to me on one side and i have to keep a constant eye on the other incase zombies amble over from the tree line while i'm knocking off zombies that stacked on top of each other. i am so tempted to start a new world, power glove and digging claws be damned

I definitely agree this would be great with other people. Xeen and do automation and technical stuff, and Pete can just gear up and kill zombs, be in charge of home defense

hey jardon, i just found this series and i'm looking forward to watching it while i recover from my surgeries. had a pretty bad car accident but I'm mostly okay. I just wanted to say thank you for over 10-12 years worth of smiles. I'm sure watching this series will help me pass the time as i recover. thank you for everything you've done for your community as a whole.

In the sushi place you probably should’ve grabbed the pot and the pan and the cutting board it would’ve been useful for cooking later for farmers delight you could also use a pan as a weapon
I hope he actually does some cooking in this series as it seems it may be very helpful. I love cooking and it pains me that he seems to run away from it whenever possible

@@Furballpug yeah true. I feel like 80% of zombie movies or games are not that good but the other 20% is AMAZING so I can see why its hard for a producer to fund such a volatile genre. Some of my favorite zombie movies are "I am Legend, World War Z, Warm Bodies, zombieland, Shaun of the dead" And as for tv shows my favorites are "The Last of us, walking dead (first few seasons), and the rest are different anime various anime". These all did it well by either making a very immersive horror experience or a very unique and comical experience.
dying light 2 got better btw. just saying since it was pretty mid at launch so a lot of people dropped it.

@@ReyaadGafur I got the 100 dollar edition cause I wanted to support it as the first was so good. I played the second for a while. It’s really good but for me if felt like there was soo much you could do that I fell into the “having a pool” situation. You know when someone owns a pool they never use it. So I stopped for a while. Then started again recently. But it’s for sure gonna be one of those games that gives me joy for years and years to come.

Only way to get something off an immersive engi belt once its on is either to break part of it so it has an "end" point to spit the item out or use the engi hammer to manually rotate the belt so it also has an "end" point, on a continuous loop like that items can't be removed from the belt.

You can jump 3 block walls with parcool by right clicking to grab the top of the wall and then jumping again.

bro, this pack is getting the best of me. ive made it to around day 50 2 diff times and i just cant seem to get up enough defenses and such to keep the zombies at bay once they start breaking blocks. its mostly due to my insatiable need to get all the loot. like ALL of it. but, best of luck. i trust you'll be able to do it no problem. its an absolutely brilliant pack and tons of fun. cant wait to see u get thru it
also, quick tip. aim for looting the big hospitals as much as u can. u can get loads of late game IE blocks on the roof and in the basement. its actually op af

Learn Parcool, it's an awesome mod, once you get rolling down you'll be going around those cities with ease.
Not sure if anyone else has pointed this out, but Hardcore does impact your gameplay. They changed what hardcore selection does, "Hardcore settings, if you die you lose all your health bonuses."
this was really fun to watch. so much so that i went to the twitch vods to watch more and started my own world to try out the modpack. excited to see you play this more and hopefully with other ppl in the future.
Captain Sparkles coming to the revelation that being attacked by zeds in a zombie apocalypse is no bueno was funny. But damn the golden apple recipe is just dirty. I guess you cant engage in any time of melee combat until you can make those reliably. This is rough
As an avid, but not expert player of this mod pack, of the things I did know, it hurt to see you not wall-run and cliff climbing, and following recipes fully through like the rotten flesh to leather.
Im loving this so far!! Excited to see how the series develops!

I think to make it close to hardcore and increase the stakes you can do a "lose inventory on death" rule where u jst dnt pick up items that u lost at the time of death.

Tbh hardcore seems nearly impossible as zombie touch you they have a chance to get you infected and the only way to cure it was with golden apple and golden apple recipe wont be the same as vanilla one

I’m considering this the spiritual successor to the zombie RPG with waglington. 13 year old me would be very happy.
The way jardon loots chests seems quite inefficient when he could just shift click stuff into his inventory instead of double click grabbing everything and putting it in manually.
If the inventory sort mod has it he could just hold down shift and drag across everything to quickly loot it all.

This is how I would survive in a zombie apocalypse as the last survivor.
If I woke up tomorrow morning and every single person in the world was a zombie and I was the only one left on unaffected, the first thing I would do because I know power is at least gonna last one maybe two months, I would go straight to my mom‘s house after suiting up first and then after getting rid of my mom and my stepdad I would move everything essential from my house to their house except several canned items like green beans and corn and other stuff like that just in case I needed to come back and I needed food, after doing that I would slowly start two clear out the house is on my mom‘s street and leave any food like bread and anything perishable, so no already sitting fruits and vegetables and other stuff, After clearing the street I would walking make my way down the next street and do that until every single house was cleared of zombies, I would then take my car down to the gas station and with my mom’s card I would fill up my car if necessary but if not then just clear out The gas station area and then move my way to the stores clearing those out and then going towards the hardware store and clearing that out and then getting all of the gas cans that I can fit in my trunk and in my car and go back up to the gas station And with my Moms card I would fill up all of the gas cans with gas and them take them back up to my mom’s house and then come back to that same hardware store and grab all of machetes and stuff like that, as well as all of the Little propane tanks as well as the big ones and put as much as I can in my car and then go next to the hardware store and after several minutes of learning how to use the thing I will fill up the propane tanks, I don’t need to fill up the little ones because they are already are filled, I will then grab all of the actual pellets that are used for hunting and grab any of the pellet guns because they are much quieter than an actual gun, I will then take everything back to my mom‘s house and probably take a few hours but I will sort everything and make sure if necessary I’ll be able to grab something quickly, so I don’t go insane obviously I will go down to the library on the way take out any zombies and then go to the library and get books on agriculture and farming and solar panels and the battery systems and everything, because I’m only 26 I’ll grab a shit ton of comic books and then some actual like series of books like wings of fire and those kind, Then after I’m done I will take all of that back up to my mom’s house and but before I leave be sure to take any books on Bow building and how to make arrows because I noticed animals were unaffected and yeah, if I have to I will eat dogs and cats but that will be a last resort, then over the months the power goes out obviously but I’ve prepared for this and I already have a solar panel set up and I have read how to set it up and what not so I’m good on power but even still I only use it when I have to, I have garden set ups lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers and I even set up a chicken coop and yeah, every single night before I go to sleep for about 1 to 2 hours I write in my journal that I have been doing ever since the first night and by now many years later I have filled multiple composition notebooks with how many exploring the entire island that I live on and clearing out all of the zombies and now me and my 40s, I’m just gonna keep on living until I eventually either die from old age or I decide to leave, I taught myself how to draw and I can draw a really really nice sunsets and everything, The gas that I had in the beginning of course has now gone bad but a few of the books that I got from the library in the beginning taught me how to make fuel so that’s what I’m using and of course I learned how to fix my own car by reading books and what not but yeah, now that I am in my 70s I think it’s time that I leave, so I write my last journal entry and placed it on its stack of several dozen other filled notebooks And I pull out my freedom and pull The trigger.
That’s how I would survive if I was the only person unaffected in a zombie apocalypse.
I would love for people to comment and tell me how they would survive if they were the only one left or even if they weren’t the only one left and they were just one of the survivors, please do.
