THIS IS MY FAVORITE WATERCOLOR CARD TUTORIAL ON ALL OF TH-cam! THANK YOU SO MUCH! NOW THAT I'VE WATCHED IT TWICE, TONIGHT, I'M GOING TO GET OUT MY SUPPLIES AND WORK ALOONG WITH YOU IN THIS WONDERFUL TUTORIAL!

Thank you so much, Chris. I so appretiate your lovely comments, and are so happy to have inspired you to do this! I would love to see your piece, so please, post on DelBello's FB page and tag me... much love, Elisabeth

Lovely design and application of many techniques. I too am a mixed media card artist. Primarily my cards are gifted and I love this idea. I hope to use some of your methods soon. Also…. I absolutely love the music selection. Much better than a lot of chit- chat 💫🌸👍
Ohh, thank you for your kind words, Majorie, I so appretiate it! It is far easier for me with captions and music that to talk trough a whole video, since english is not my language at all. And there is a lot of wonderful music out there. I tend to use FB sound collection and YT Audio Studio a lot... take car, and hope to see you next time...love, E 💜
Came across your video. I’m rapidly losing my vision and it’s gotten extremely frustrating trying to draw things naturally. I thought stamps were “cheating”-at this point, I just want to keep painting. And you have completely changed my mind on how stamps look-this is stunning!
Ohh my dear... I feel both happy and sad reading your comments... Sad because I soooo feel for you regarding your eyesight. I just wish you don't loose it all together... ohhh, my heart goes out to you!! On the other hand, I'm so happy that you find my way of useing stamps something you might consider... I dicovered Laninia Stamps in April 2021, so I've just done this for a few years myself. Fuseing stamps and watercolors is sooo much fun, and almost all my pieces is like this now. If you really want to try this technique, I highly recommend Lavinia Stamps. I find them sooo detailed and delicate.... If you check my Playlist here at Del Bello's, you'll find that I di a lot of nature inspired pieces, and you being a watercolor artist should start with some of the lovely trees, foliage and flowers they have...just a suggestion from me, tho.... I sooo wish you all the good in the world... Hope to see you next time, Elaine.... Much love, Elisabeth 💜

Thank you so much for your kind words...I did give the music credit at the start of the video, but "Lady Florence" is from FB. Sound Collection, and "Sweethearts" is from YT Audio. Hope that helps... No, sorry, i don't do classes online.... It is a bit diffucult with the language, since I'm norwegian, and I do feel I lack or miss some words now and then. I do hope you will give it a go useing this video as inspiration, tho... and if there is anything I can help you with, please pm me.... Love, Elisabeth 💜

Oh my gosh, this is soooooo beautiful! I have never had the knowledge or courage to try these techniques but I love yours so much I really want to try! I do have a question though, what happened to the Vaseline that you stamped with, that is, does it dry away by itself or did you pat it with a paper towel? I had heard of using it but assumed that it would leave a big grease/oil stain on the paper. Thank you so much for sharing your techniques with us. As an aside, dandelions are one of my favorite flowers. Did you use to wish on them as a child?
Ohh, thank you so much for your nice post! I so appretiate it, and I love that I can inspire! The vaseline doesn't leave any residue at all. Imean, there are no "greasy" spots on the card, if you know what I mean... Please, please give it a go, and if you wonder about anything, just pm me on DelBello's fb page, and I will answer you as quickly as I can.. and be sure to tag me when you post,- I would love to see it! Dandelions are one of my favorites too, and I still wish on them.... love and hugs, Elisabeth
@@DelBellosDesigns I often bring them up and say that adults should have to make a wish on one because doing that will make them seriously think about their priorities--one wish only, what shall it be? We also used the power of pinky wishes for really, REALLY important wishes. You and your bestie would link pinky fingers, you'd tell your bestie what your wish was so they could wish it right along with you. Pinky wishes were seriously powerful! And dandelions saved a lives during the Great Depression--they were a food source! Thank you so much for your kind reply Elisabeth! I'm not sure when I'll be able to try this--I've got 2 cards swaps to prepare for and I'll need to find someone who can teach me how to post a photo.
Thank you so much... The vaseline kinda soakes into the paper, and leaves no residue... when you touch it, you can't feel the vaseline and there is no "greasy" parts, if that makes sense?? I hope you'll give it a go... love, E
This is a beautiful card, but I think it needs to be in a frame! I will definitely be trying this technique you shared in this tutorial everything about it is stunning x
Stunning work. You put so much work into this and it looks natural, like a picture of a field of flowers. My one question is this: what happened with the Vaseline? You rubbed off the masking fluid, but I didn't see what you did with the Vaseline? Did you remove it? Thanks so much. Love your work!!!
Thanks a lot for your comments. The vaseline kinda "soakes" into the paper and make a resist, as you can see when I start with the watercoloring. So the vaseline is still there, but you can't "feel" it. I mean, there is no kinda greasy parts on the piece...I hope that make sense? Please, give it a go... love E 💜

@ElisabethSchwabe do you have worry about residue from the vaseline affecting the paper? I would think you would get something that would resemble an oil stain. The picture is beautiful as is all of your work.

Frame it. Absolutely.
Thank you...yes, I think I'll frame it... love, E 💜
@ElisabethSchwabe do you have worry about residue from the vaseline affecting the paper? I would think you would get something that would resemble an oil stain. The picture is beautiful as is all of your work.
Thank you so much...no, the vaseline kinda soakes into the paper, no residue. I mean you can't feel it and there is no "greasy" parts if that makes sense??... love, E 💜
So inspiring thank you
