In this video I discover that my binds are BAD. I've been editing with my paddles for years, but I recently learned that ALL pro controller players that use paddles edit with L3 while having a paddle switch mode and r1 reset. So to make sure I can improve, I change my binds to the most optimized controller binds for paddles and of course, I do it all in just 1 day. Enjoy!

Dang I’ve always had L3 edit on controller and just got one with paddles and have been grinding nonstop to adjust to edit on paddle and now hearing this! Idk might stick to paddle jsut to get used to them and maybe switch back eventually

u still on paddle edit? I switched from L3 edit to paddle edit 1 year ago and haven't looked back. being able to have full control over your movement while editing is huge, i always found I couldn't fully focus on my movement when editing with it on L3. Paddle all the way bro

Go into settings then the controller and then custom select the touch pad then find sprint

I changed my jump from r3 to l3 my edit to l3 from r3 and switch mode to touch pad hope don't take ti long get back my normal maybe better I hooe new binds

Yo carter.ita not because of the edit bind because when you look at thes controller pros they use lstick or claw but they use double edit binds but whem you look at pretty mechanical players slite and ares takeoff wolfiez zacholagy they use a paddle to edit but double edit binds because its faster so its not your edit bind
lemme explain my problem my R3 is supposed to crouch/slide my L3 is for sprinting and when i switched my edit botton from o to R3 it was so hard as i can no longer crouch and everytime i press it i get in build mode wich gets me killed instantly so for the ppl who knows what keybinds his using what do i crouch with if my R3 is for edits??

If you use left paddles for jump and right paddle for switch mode then the R3 stays the same for crouch/slide and then sprint can be right D pad or the middle touch pad

Use the big black button in the middle as it’s the best way without disturbing any other movement, change right d pad to map
Regular sprint auto/holding up on analog. I have a 3rd paddle for tac

just started playing again and holyyyyyyy. so many settings to tweak with and i cant get my aim like it used to be chapter 1. pretty frustrating
It’s unfortunately not possible to have the same settings as chapter 1 because they took away legacy aim assist. Now you have to choose between exponential and linear. I’d watch a “controller settings explained” video to help you understand what all the settings do now

I don’t get it, is touch pad the best edit bind for no claw no paddles or L3? Cause in his video where he played no claw no paddles he used touch pad as edit. Should I get paddles or not idk anymore? If you have an answer but don’t want to reply please just reply it takes less than a minute and could save me hours
Touch pad is the best edit for no claw, no paddles. If you have paddles, use L3.
The best edit bind is L3 if you don’t have paddles or play no claw.I play with paddles and they help me a lot. I think paddles are better than L3.Before I got my paddles I was editing with L3.

I play no claw no paddles and imo touchpad is so nice because it’s a big button and lips over so you can easily press it

It’s easy when ur already a good player and already know how to play the game. It would be much harder for a new player to get good fast. As a player who has fo grind just to catch up I can say

Yea it’s possible ig but you pretty much need a ps5 or ps4 controller and it’s just much easier to just learn claw

@@Sxcurefntheres a lot of cheap paddle alternatives after 7-8yrs of clawing my hands and wrist were hurting so I switched to back buttons and its a lot better for my hands

i played on xbox when the game first came out, then i switched to PC during season 7, after 6 years on pc and trying to play on controller again, i feel SO immobilized and vulnerable lmao. its so frustrating im bad at something i was good at naturally, my brain just for some reason cant comprehend anything lol.
