For $5 you could attach an adjustable bubble level to the gold hog and be able set the bank angle the same every time.

We've heard of yet another train derailment & yesterday I saw a short Biden of a man who discovered a "derailment device" on the tracks near his home. Can you share your take on all of this?? I'd appreciate hearing from someone who knows that world of trains. 😊

    • @6jonline

@@jammerjen5504 Derailers are pretty common around yards, or anywhere else you don't want train cars getting loose. They upset the wheels just enough to set them on the ground, they won't cause a train to roll over half way through its journey.

I found a black gold nugget a couple weeks back. Almost threw it in my lead bucket. Even the local prospecting shop told me it wasn’t gold.
Got home and acid tested it. Sure enough it’s gold. Soaked it in acid for a couple minutes and it cleaned up beautifully :)

Black Gold is the name of a famous City here in Brazil (Ouro Preto) due to the fact that there was a lot of this kind of gold when the place was discovered by explorers called "Bandeirantes" in the XVIII century.

There are plenty of people around who'll tell us what failures we are but... As a role model for your own children you should never say negative things to or about yourself!! It's bad for the soul and overall sense of well-being. Positive feedback will make you feel positive!!

Dan, add a shirt line on your highlander with a split ! End of on split will be short to hook your hose to that end ! Run the other to the other end and a way to use one or the other ! With this addition you can run the highlander either direction by hooking your water input to which ever end to position it the way you want and you will never have to load from the back again !

Dan, on the subject of alloys. I had a friend who's father mined manganese out of the foot hills of Arkansas. He always carried a gold nugget Zippo lighter. The story was he Got it in Nevada but could the nuggets actually have come from the manganese mines? I understand no one will ever really know, but it would make sense why he was addament on mining "manganese "

Since metals don't make molecules when in their metallic state, I kinda disagree for some alloys. Namely copper and gold. They mix in the same crystal lattice at any ratio. So the copper is bound as tightly to gold as gold is to other gold.
Generally alloys make all kinds of crystallite mixes, sometimes containig crystallites containg both components, sometimes pure.

I live in the Klondike, and here, Hunker Creek has lots of black gold, and dark gold as well. Bonanza Creek, on the other hand, has lots of quartz with the gold, which of course can explode when it is heated! So, jewellers have to know where the nuggets come from, although most can tell just by looking at them. Every creek has its own kind of gold.

On the topic of allows, this is going to get very technical.
Metal don't form covalent bond with other metal like we see with none metals, their electro negativity is to low and usually molecules are usually considered when covalent bonds are involved. But their is still a chemical bond in the sens of electron sharing which are shared across all the metallic atoms. This is the case also with alloys and its pretty obvious with bronze in fact.
If the red copper was simply mixed silvery tin, you would expect the alloy to be lighter shade of red but instead it goes yellow. this mean adding the tin has had a large enough impact of the copper electron field to change what frequency of light it can absorb.
