- The Goblin Barrel has a lot of tricky placements for bait decks. First we go over the basics of how to use and how to counter the Goblin Barrel. The basic tank synergies of the barrel. Then we go into more advanced placements on where to place the Goblin Barrel and why it needs to be placed on those certain tiles.

The trickier barrel is when they send it to the King with the Princess Towers still up... and by that I mean several barrels :p

Lol, that's about the time they've committed suicide against any reasonable player. Two barrels and a rage spell can suck on any swarm counter followed by a full force push.

Another common type of barrel placement is one I like to call the "bad barrel", mostly seen used in lower areas with the attempt of stopping an oncoming skeleton army or valkyrie. The optimal response to this placement is to swiftly dish out a "Well Played".
Ngl, defensive barrel isn’t THAT bad.
But, like Wallbreakers, it’s best to avoid that if possible. It’s like a worse version of guards

You forgot 2 things. A very deep barrel is not used because skeletons or ice spirit can be used to activate the king. The second thing is that a snowball can be used on certain positions to activate the king too. This isn't used often, but I noticed that in clan wars it's somewhat relevant. But overall, great vid and keep it up!

Btw just as a quick note, i once hit all three goblins from the mid planted goblin barrel with perfect timing, but not fron the back of the tower, from the inner side. This means you can do it as well with minimum risk of wasting the ewiz.

I think that it is important to say, how to start with 1st goblin barell. I am bait player so long time and i found, that it is important to start on one best possition. Because i dont want to activate king tower, I throw it on the opposite side of king tower closer to me. The enemy wont be able to activate king tower by tornado by this way. PS: Not best English Sorry 👌😅

Even so, predict rocket to counter troops opponent uses to counter the barrel. You can even play tricky barrels more easily with rocket shadowing.

The best placement for Gob barrel is if it's left princess tower you place it on the bottom left corner, because the Princess tower targets the goblin in the top right first. Just an FYI for 2:29

against zap players you can barrel two tiles below the center of the princess tower, most players zap the tower directly, and this mitigates all damage to the gobs. Pretty useful in ladder as a zap is obviously easier to max out than a gob barrel.

Great video as always, but you forgot to mention my favorite barrel, the short barrel, only works well if they are playing fireball but basically as soon as the log or zap is out of rotation,(and you know they will use fireball as a counter) throw it 2 or 3 tiles short and their fireball will completely miss and they won’t even know it 👌(I found this from tv Royale top 200 so I know it works at high level gameplay)
my favorite play is the tricked-tricky barrel
instead of hiding the barrel behind the rocket, you rocket the center of the tower and place the barrel behind the tower, they think they spotted the tricky barrel in the rocket.. buts it's a *TRICKED TRICKY BARREL* works around 6k

i love how before it was never log the princess now it's always log the princess since nearly everything counters barrel nowadays. even outside of the mirror u should most of the time spell the princess. some counters for barrel are: second small spell, fire spirit trick, bowler, hunter, goblins, gang, skarmy, evo bomber, tesla skellies, well placed valk or mk or ewiz, zap with new tower troup and a lot more. goblin barrel should really get that barrel damage back since most of the time it's not connecting and at higher levels people can always see trick barrel

I usually place a bait barrel to see what they usually use to counter my barrel then either try to tricky barrel or force them to use their barrel counter on something other than my barrel.

Trickiest barrel of all is in 2v2 when you and your partner send barrels at the king tower at the same time, followed by mirrored barrels and then a clone and rage.

I remember being in a close 1-1 match a while ago with his tower at 100ish and mine at 20ish, and he threw a goblin barrel. I’m like, ok, arrow the barrel and fireball his tower for the win, and I lose due to barrel impact damage. I’ll never forget that match.
