    Make sure that the slide is locked at all times you aren't using it! Especially during assembly! I would have mentioned that even earlier. You could also mention how easy it is to damage the inner and outer slides. Overall a good video though!

      The 7 positions are a learning tool. Each note in each partial actually has it's own place. 4th position G and 4th Position D actually are EVER so slightly different if you want to be 100% exactly correct pitch-wise, for example.
      The 7 positions are a lie we tell ourselves when we are young to make things more manageable before our ear has developed. Playing that D and G in the same spot on the slide is "close enough" for most work.
      It's still must be learnt this way to start. To bring up a similar issue, Trumpet players must use their slides to make their pitches work.
