*Thank you to the people who been there to watch this live, I hope I made this major look interesting, been working for a while on this. This could be my last "Journey" video unless Katowice delivers something amazing, enjoy
legit though, that inferno hit at 10:48 was the most beautiful thing I've seen in CS. Watched it live and thought it was insane, then saw everything that happened and realised it was the perfect execution
@@shrunker684 CS is a More Volatile scene than you'd expect. So, getting 3 Majors would be an effin amazing feat, let alone 4. Even though we can clearly see Astralis Dominate hard in the current meta, I don't expect the Katowice Major to be a Cakewalk for them at all.
Nowadays people seem to forget the past of this team. As someone who was a fan of these guys back when they were called TSM, I remember all to well. Always made it to the semi-finals, always, only to choke it away. They faced defeat after defeat after defeat. The first 2018 major, when Magisk was added to the team, they didn't make it out of groups. These guys have clawed their way to the top, and they did so by effectively beating living legends in the old Virtus Pro when they won their first major in 2017. They are so dominant now, but it never used to be like that. And that's why I'm such a big fan of them. Their mental fortitude is what makes them the best team in the world right now, and when someone else takes over (and someone will) I will still be a fan of 'em.
Bo5 are a hellish thing to sit through for a player. It could be up to just under 6 hours of actual play and even more with timeouts and such. Little inconsiderate for the players . The mental strain would be horrible
They have bo5 in league and dota, the other big esport scenes have bo5 in their grand finals, so i cant understand why csgo shouldnt havet it. And its not like they play a bo5 without brakes, that take breaks after every match. I find it really anticlimactic when its the grand final in a major, and the winnercteam sweeps their opponent with a 2-0. Feels like its over before it starts.
@@geo2271 The main difference as I see it with CS:GO compared to other esports is the variety of the maps. If you play bo5 it is the team with the biggest map pool winning because only 2 maps can be banned. That might rule out the smaller teams winning. In a bo3 a team cannot beat the other team in one of their 2 strongest maps (the other team can ban 1 before their pick) or their opponents favorite maps, they do not deserve to win. Hence I think it is fair with a 2-0 win then. I have not elaborated all due to huge amount of text otherwise, so feel free to ask if I should elaborate...
Nikolai I dont really feel like a argument that implyes a harder competitive enviroment is relevant. In a bo5 you will for sure end up with the best team on top, so i dont really see how ur arguement is a reason not to have it, when ot basically says itself that in a bo5, the better team with the better map pool wins.
@@geo2271 The question is: how do you define the best team? Is the best team the team that on average is the best? is the best team the team that is unbeatable in a few maps? In CS:GO it just require so much from the teams to prepare for each map against each team. Therefore we have to question ourselves: do we want to view the best possible CS:GO with new techniques or are we satisfied with viewing the same CS:GO with the same executes?
I am happy that your back i waited so many months for your video. Checking your tweet every day. Refreshing your channel. And now you finnaly uploaded the video which is quite amazing. Just wating for your "csgo rewind 2018" video. Btw love your videos keep making more
Awesome job, bit at the end was good too, funny thing is they've won another two trophies a mere two weeks after releasing the video, really can't slow them down.

The chicken was picking the losers. It was right all along

a predator only eats when the prey is dead. Therefore the chicken only ate from the losers
@@eliasrodin6332 wow damn

Superb as ever. The way you balance story-building, humour and exciting clips is fantastic and unmatched by anyone else I've found on youtube. Kudos.

That's why they only won 2 major i guess
@@shrunker684 "only" mate 2 majors are fucking awesome
My point is if people always called astralis's matches are jokes then they should win every major they are in
@@shrunker684 I stated this major, not all majors in general. They plowed through playoffs without losing a single map, thats my point.
