The awful irony of being deviant in society, yet too tamed to be a freak in a circus was really a good take on the book. I wish they delved a bit more to that. Maybe something about how being the unseen freak?
Sort of frustrating that the author wasn't able to state their main character's identity in the books, also "he is genderfluid"? Lauraaaaaaaa

I can't say I agree on the premise being amazing to be honest. Just sound kinda weird or maybe just standard. Nothing all that interesting from that alone in my personal opinion.
Fair enough. My recommendation videos are meant to represent the main appeal of the books accurately, so if the book doesn't strike you as something you'd be interested in, then it's probably not for you.

Any suggestion for a long going well written fantasy series? Finished the dark tower series recently, but my father has nothing to suggest.
I'm probably not the best person to ask about long-running fantasy. I typically don't follow much that comes out of the fantasy genre unless it grabs my interest for other reasons (in this case, because it was lgbt fiction). There's a fantasy literature channel called Daniel Greene which might help you though. I'd recommend looking him up.

Let me just say that your focus on LGBT books is definitely interesting. As someone who hasn't read any books with these themes (although Giovanni's Room is on the list thanks to your video!), it gives me a unique insight I wouldn't have otherwise.

AshCoyote (the guest voice in this video) recently released a documentary called "The Fandom" which explains the history of furry and what it is today. Last year she also released a web series of the same name that details the different sides to the furry fandom. Those should contain all the information you need. Good luck!
