Love the roads South of Hertford, I have a 8.5 three door 2022 ST2, and agree these are great cars, the best I have ever owned, and I am also nearly 60!
I recently got a low mileage second hand 3 door 2020 Fiesta ST and really enjoying it. Certainly will hang onto it now they aren't making them from next year!
I ordered one last year for March but was told the B&O was a no no as Ford limited inventory due to the impending end of life of the Fiesta. So I am getting just the Sync 3 system which doesn’t include a wireless charger. If you can still order one be aware that the B&O though still listed an an option on the Ford site is unlikely to be installed. Apparently they are using inventory to install B&O systems in models that apparently have it as standard whereas I would argue you should prioritise the premium model. Mind I’ve heard practically nothing about my order so am half expecting a call late in the day to say it is cancelled. Looks like either my current Ford or my new one will be my last one as I don’t like SUVs & electric isn’t practical for me.
Had my ST-3 for a few weeks, it is by far the most enjoyable car I have ever driven, and having just turned 60, I’ve driven a few! I agree with almost everything said in this review, it’s been enjoyable to watch and very accurate in its content!
I'm 60 too Wayne, ordered mine in April, Mean Green . Ford tells me it'll be here in NZ sometime later this year or early in '23. The ST is now no longer available here as i've recently been advised. Glad you're enjoying your car. Can't wait for mine to arrive. Looking forward to seeing it . 42k NZD all up . Not bad.
Just make sure before you take delivery that Ford haven’t made more specification cuts, as they are really not bothered about the fiesta now since the end of production was announced, along with the well documented reputation of not advising customers!
Sunroof was always a £1000 extra and no longer available as an option for all 2023 orders, likewise wireless phone charging is an extra with the B&O sound system. As already mentioned the Fiesta suspension set up does not change with different mode selection either.......
Yeah and loads of specification cut back due to Ford chip shortages, but coming in 20% more expensive than the much higher specification previous model....
I’ve got one of these in the same colour. I love the car it really is tremendous, it’s just a shame about the Ford experience so far. 12 months waiting for the car from ordering it. Now it’s finally here and at 7 weeks old it’s at the dealers for a new windscreen as it lets in water. Windscreen is on back order with no indication of a date, so my new car is now sitting at the dealership for god knows how long. Otherwise the driving experience has been tremendous so far.

I had a fiesta st line before, . Took me 11 months to get my new car. I was upgraded from the 2 to the 3 as they stopped the 2. Very comfy car. But basic speakers and no wireless car charger. Ford has skimped out on things. My st line had more inside than this and the wheel feels heavy. But saying this, it's still a nice car to have... for now! Just a shame they are not making anymore fiestas. 😕
I’ve got a 3dr mean green st .Proper lovely car . Replaced my spirit blue mk 7( stage one) . I sort of agree that the mk 7 is really special to drive . Maybe I’m a different driver in my new ( rare) car , need mine mapped, or grow up . But my mk 7 was an animal . Totally different cars in my opinion
I like to hoon in my 2014 Fiesta ST (from new) most times before choosing either of my 911s! It is the best winter/snow car when equipped with studded ice tires. Well that was until the GR Corolla was announced-:) Talk me next spring...
They do look good. I'm sure these are a future classic. Gutted Ford stop making them. I know there making way for an eletric future but I'll never be apart of that.
The stability control is not fully off in race mode, it is in ESP Sport Mode. That can also be done by pressing ESP button in sport mode. You end up without traction control and maybe a little bit less ESP. To turn it off completely press the ESP button for about 4 seconds. If you want to send it full side ways, ESP Sport still cuts it out off very soon. You have to turn ESP off. Tested it with my 8.5 in roundabouts.
@@yoizn7595 Fake Sound through speakers is louder in race mode then in sport mode. Exhaust sound is identical in race and sport. Only in normal or eco it’s less loud because of closed exhaust flap.

Yes chip shortage problems. So lots of de-specification cut backs compared to the standard equipment on the previous model, but Ford raise the original price of the mk8.5 facelift by 19% probably even more now!
