I was skeptical at first, but that actually looks pretty cool!
I have you admit, this is VERY cool & just plain fun !
The 80's live on......flashback to the "color organs" of the day
Yea that's a fun addition to that TT, would look cool at a little party.. Dig that shirt too bro it blew my retinas
Must admit I have a thing for any kind of lighting in the light ring going under the terminal. It would be something I would definitely definitely enjoy. Thanks!
Neat! I need those RGB lights to fully enjoy any disco album I have by The Bee-Gees, Van McCoy, Donna Summer, etc. or the 'Saturday Night Fever' soundtrack, etc. :)
cool you got the five below speaker. I got the white version, not bad considering it has a real tweeter on it unlike most bluetooth speakers with a full range driver.
GradyPlastics makes a custom RGB Multi-Color LED Turntable Light for Fluance which mounts to the existing screw on the back of the turntable and rest behind of the platter and not underneath..
I made the same comment. I love the Grady Plastics LED light.
The " main " speaker is called a woofer. It's pretty cool looking too. Another fun and informative video Record-ology guy ! 😎👍
With that speaker, it would be a mid driver and not a woofer.
I found a turntable light that projects from the side. Etsy had it from a company called Grady Plastics. It is specifically designed for Fluance turntables with an acrylic platter. It was super easy to install and it does not interfere with the rotation of the platter.
Big fan of the light ring (except for the cable), and was shocked at how good the box speaker sounded. Thanks for sharing these!
It looks like a closed box design of a decent size, so I'm not surprised it can sound better than those cheap bass reflex designs that are prone to sound boxy.
Everything about this is cool. My TT won't work with this but I love that you took the time to show it off.
Honestly I'm loving the fact that Orangebird showed up in the video! 😁👍
Fun stuff. The turntable lights effect is quite damped down when playing normal black vinyl albums, but on the plus side you would always get the full effect when playing 45s. That see through box speaker was pretty impressive too. Good choices.
With the clear acrylic ICE turntable you could always have the light UNDER it, so you'd not have to worry about the wire and the lid issue! (I wonder who'll be first to say they'd prefer an "automatic" rather than a manual), LOL. [Sorry, play on words!].
Great video. Absolutely love your orange resort shirt. And the coloured lights look amazing on the clear deck.
I wonder how two of those speakers would sound in proper stereo. I suspected that the light show, as it stands, would only work with certain turntables.
Partially based on your review of both this turntable and this lighting kit ..
I just picked up one myself ...and it looks absolutely spectacular... 👍🏽💯😎. Sounds quite good too. 😉
Hope you enjoy it!
The ring does look great. I'm a sucker for RGBW LEDs. Unfortunately my turntables cannot accommodate it. 😢
love your videos and this was one of the most fun ones !
THIS was what I was hoping to see. I've suggested how cool to put LED lights on that transparent ICE1 turntable, and you delivered! I will admit that did look really cool. My Technics will not be able to accommodate as it is a direct drive turntable. I have some clear vinyl myself (Nightwish "Decades" which came on three transparent vinyl records). Is it possible to pair two of those bluetooth speakers together as a stereo pair? At $15, I cannot imagine that speaker would have such a feature but worth at least checking.
I would remove the thick wire from the led pcb and replace it with a few inches of thin enamel wire which you could easily stick down with double sided tape and then solder the original wires to the ends of the enamel wires.
This is of course more of a permanent thing because the thin enamel wires don’t like flexing.
It would be kind of cool if the RPMs of the LED could match the RPMs of a record.
Very nice
I tend to avoid audio products that use the terms "premium sound" or "HD sound" since that usually screams cheap, poor or lack luster sound quality.
Either tape it to the bottom of any turntable or just lay it underneath.
Did it not occur to you to just place the entire turntable on top of it? Since the whole thing is acrilic. The U-turn works best though IMHO.
Don't make excuses, this is simply fun. I integrated led lighting in my hifi rack too.
And dont worry about heat. LED does not get hot.
When I was a teenager, maybe. Not now that I'm 69.
One should never be too old to have fun. :)
14:00 What about simply resting that RGB LED light ring underneath the turntable plinth to keep it away from the platter (if there is not enough room for it right underneath the platter)? It will still add ambience to any music or media room. :)
transparent is excellent now its on with rgb
Nice..✌️
I have seizures. Disco balls, moire patterns, houndstouth all give me seizures. When you do speed tests I look away. Unfortunately, I can't watch this video. Anyways, have a good weekend, my friend.
Is there no way to add light to audio technica lp60?
Not that I have found....
also that ring light will not work with any of my turntables so it would go underneath for that under glow effect
It is neat but I wonder if it would cause problems though later on. Looks like I’m first again.
Coooooooooooooooooooool. :)
I would be afraid that the heat would ruining the record but it does look cool
They're LEDs though, so there shouldn't be a lot of heat one would think. That's why I can touch LED light bulbs because they never get hot, but they can have a slight warmth, so I suppose that could affect the glass platter and therefore transfer some heat to the records which would not be a good idea.
Therefore, one could put that ring underneath the plinth for some lighting ambience instead of risking rubbing against the platter, or risking any damage to records, etc.
I don't think LED lights get hot enough to damage anything.
Hello my fellow north of Denver I-25 corridor fellow Coloradan. Would you mind measuring the outer diameter of that light ring, please? There is no info to that fact on Amazon. It would help me tremendously. Thank you!
Hello?!? This shouldn’t take yiu but a minute. I didn’t expect to be ignored. I thought you were a nice person?? 🤷♂️
Maybe it’s about money not helping….
Thanks for the homework assignment! Just seeing this.... its 9 3/4"
