So true. All my heroes have always been firefighters, peace officers, EMS, and veterans. Celebrities and sports stars have no idea how to be a hero and are unworthy of the honor.
As a former firefighters child I know what they go through , EACH & EVERY there is a call that is answered the firefighter answers it with 4 things heart ,soul mind and courage . They do this with every fiber of their being because they want to bring you out alive , they don't hesitate to go in to fight the battle ,the battle for YOUR LIFE . They know that they have a chance of not making it back home but they still go into the belly of the beast to save you. It's in their blood ,heart, soul& mind it's what they live for . I have seen my daddy's eyes change when he went out on a call ,I remember watching him get ready and looking at him and him saying Daddys going to do his best to make it back home.
I don't answer the call for myself. I answer the call for the life that may be saved. I answer for the person who's having the worst day of their life. But most importantly, I answer the call for the person who stands beside me, that would bleed for me, as I would bleed for them, and I will call them brothers and sisters.
My father and I were on a fire dept together and we ended up folding the flag for a honorary firefighter that passed and this hits home. Honestly my greatest honor was to be on the fd with my father but he has since passed and I done the same for him. The fd was big in our hearts and still is
This reminds me of my Father! He is a battalion chief. Thanks to all the firemen who risk their lives for others. He is never home but thats ok with me because I know hes doing something good! Thanks Dad!
Thank you for your hardwork and dedication to the job like many. Stay tuned for our next tribute video for fire services all over, well be sure to include germany!

I remember 18 yr old we cut out of car I held her hand til she dead cause I didn't want her to die alone waiting on amblunance to get their that call still haunt me
Sargehill67 Rudnick Talk to someone. Being firefighters our jobs really mess us up sometimes. But it’s also why we are so close to the other members in the department is because we know that we can’t do it all by ourselves.
My brother and I have been on our Cadet program for over a year now and we have learned so much. My brother is wanting to be a firefighter and im wanting to be a fire marshall. Our dad has worked on the department for 16 years. I guess he inspired us
A firefighter for 30 Years. Lots of great memories, My right leg shaking like a leaf the first time I drove a fire engine to a call. Watching the angels dance over my head ( precursor to a flashover). However, a cautionary warning to anyone thinking of firefighting as a career. I still have nightmares about the decisions I made. Would someone be alive today if I made a different decision? Who knows? It's an honourable calling. Just be aware it is not without a price🚒
I am training to be a firefighter and I hear people all the time say that this job is easy and that hurts on top of that I don't think people give first responders the respect and credit they deserve I think all first responders should be considered veterans as well as our military because they protect us as well
This Video is a great video to show how firefighter risk thare lives every day to save a random person that they don't know but they know some one would do the same for them they don't get payed extra that just try thare best to make sure every one they can help gets home safely that's why I want to be a firefighter Thank You for this vido
It was last. Year my best friend passed she was at the desk in the Lemont fire department I never got to say goodbye,I will always remember her and the lost men and women of the United states fire dept, and lemont fire and police department
My uncle Chief Andrew Danielle made his final trip home on June 3. I became a firefighter because of the influence he had on my life. Please take a minute to remember the person that touched your life.
I’m hoping to become a firefighter in the future, my FD requires everyone have all their actual fire training before applying as well as everyone needs to be certified as a primary care paramedic at least. So I’ll have to take a few years off to do all that schooling
Jet Edge1 it's a hard job. Long hours freezing cold blazing heat and you are sometimes in some uncomfortable situations but MAN is it rewarding. Go for it and chance you're dream kid.
i am 14 years old and have already been approved for my local fire department and its sad that fire fighters die but i want to become one not because i can replace them because i can NOT but to save lives i would rather die saving someones life than sit-in back knowing i could be saving lives and not we miss all you hose holders and smoke breathers may u rest in piece you will never be forgotten
Everyday you hear a firefighter or a ambulance wether you see it or not you hear the sirens and just remember they’re doing a life saving challenge a rescue a injured so tribute this to them
Black Sunday, it's infamous as one of the worst mayday calls and fire fighter loss in history. We listened to it the first day in my academy, it's on TH-cam.

It’s not for me but the aspect I may help someone or many I’ll answer the call without question. I’ll fight the dragon until my last breathe and if I don’t re-emerge then kiss my family and gain happiness it would be worth the sacrifice
Hero’s don’t where capes instead they where leather boots and think pants and a think cot and some people understand this job and Firefighters/EMS risk there lives saving us and look closer to the video all the Firefighters are from Chicago and the fire trucks, firefighters, and fire houses are from Chicago
“Who will be there when my life support is gone?”
Very emotional, thank you men and woman for serving, saving, protecting. your friend Matt.
Some heroes don't wear capes, some wear rebreathers and heavy jackets.
So true. All my heroes have always been firefighters, peace officers, EMS, and veterans. Celebrities and sports stars have no idea how to be a hero and are unworthy of the honor.
not all of them we have emt and police
So true. My dad was one that wore a rebreather and heavy jackets. He was a volunteer. They deserve more respect than they get.
@@theonlycyhick my dad and grammpa were both in the army and police
Or Polo shirts and EMS gloves.

For us just knowing that someone can go home is enough, I'm a vol and being paid doesn't worry as long as someone can go home safe to their family

Planes 2
Is that Audio from EmergNYC?
Negative ghost rider. Not completely sure though.
Black Sunday fire is the radio traffic at the beginning.
That's what I thought as well, the Q is very similar to the one used in EmergeNYC.
To all those who answer the tones. Thank you.
What department is the being mayday call with ?
FDNY Black Sunday
