- Tour a Riu Palace Costa Mujeres Garden View Junior Suite Room in this video. We also provide some tips for guest of the resort, as well as some useful information such as what's in the mini-bar, Room Service Menu, laundry pricing, and the TV channels lineup.
Overall we liked this room, though the open bathtub can be a privacy issues for some guests, and we had to call front desk to had them replenish the water battles in the minibar. In addition, wi-fi would intermittently disconnect, and the flush button for the toilet was a bit hard to push.
This was from our July 2021 stay at the all-inclusive Hotel Riu Palace Costa Mujeres resort. We stayed on the first floor, and this was room 1052.

Your hotel room looks HUGE with good sized beds which would be ideal and economical way for big families to stay at. However, the bath tube totally ruining everything lol Though i love the design of the overall of the resort with beautiful ocean views, large pools and their big garden . Thanks for sharing and as always, appreciate your informative and helpful videos!💕

You bet! Yup there were also bedside usb plugs too if I remember correctly.

Nice vlog. I plan on coming here for my bday in June. Due to them not exchanging money and their currency differences.. the room I’m looking to pay comes out to $1,600, would that actually be cheaper once they take my money from debit account or is it better to pay in cash ?
Thank you! Ours turned out to be about $250 a day for the 3 of us (2 adults + 1 child) in the room, so if you're staying for about 6 days that's about right. It's tough to say if cash would better- might be safer to pay using credit card ahead of time, plus you also get cashback. If you go through a cashback site like Rakuten through to Expedia or Priceline, you could get another 3% to 5% cashback as well.

Not too bad at all- about a 5 walk. It's pretty much the same for most of the oceanviews as well. Food was pretty good, the water slides were fun, nice views of the ocean from most of the public areas. It was a nice resort, though not very luxurious like the 5 star ones.

Does the hotel have ice machine on each floor? Also does the fridge has freezer section?
I believe they did, but the in-room fridge did not have a freezer.
Does the wrist band for kids and adults were the same color? And was there a night club in the hotel??
Nope- they were different colors. There is a night club at the neighboring Riu Dunamar but it was closed due to COVID.

We don't drink much so I guess that's why we didn't notice lol. But I'm pretty sure they're supposed to include them.

The “open concept” bathroom is so strange to me. Not something I’d want to have to deal with.
Yeah that was pretty interesting the bathtub being right there for sure, though thankfully the shower was covered lol.
