    Ayup Woodlanders, how are you?
What does the Log Store remind you of? What could we call it?
    All the best Darren

It looks great Darren. I love that you're using up old 'stuff' to build the log store.

I'd name it woody or chucky, I don't think I need to say why :/

Brilliant! Love the log store. Nothing more satisfying than reusing scavenged material. You are an ace recycler! Hope you are keeping well and positive.

Thanks Geoff, busy day cutting hazel from yours into short lengths for charcoal conversion

I built a similar store about 8 years ago. Mainly just use ibcs now. Much quicker and easier.

Thanks that’s really interesting, because I don’t have a loader for the IBC bending over into them and reaching the bottom to unload is difficult at best. I’ll see how this goes.

Hi Darren, I came to your channel through Tracy and Budo. I know nothing about your work, but love woodlands. I’m a very stupid person, so please don’t mock my ignorance, I’m sure you’ve looked in to it, but is there any possibility of an extra income making up bags about the same size as your charcoal of leaf compost as that is something you will always have plentiful. Obvs I don’t know anything about how you do it. Or rules and regulations on that sort of thing x

Hello there, thanks for watching, I’ve never tried to market leaf mould before but I’ll have a look to see if it’s a ‘thing’. I’m sure some folk never have access to it.
      All the best Darren.
Ps we’re all learning so questions are how we find out eh?

I can not help think that you might be making a rod for your own back. It is going to be very labour intensive to fill, how are you going to get the logs once seasoned into the trailer, how close can you get the trailer when the ground is wet. How many loads of logs do you think you will get out of the store, to make it viable you should be aiming for a minimum of 50 loads.
Sorry to be a doom munger Darren

I know what you mean mate, i wanted a better system than my log wire baskets.
And something with a roof. Most of it will be for home and the rest I’ll sell in small bags from the door. I’ve no intentions of ‘loads’ because a chap down the road already does that and I send people his way.
Hope that makes a bit more sense. I didn’t explain the fine details in the video

Nice build, I'm sitting (working) on the puta (I say working lightly) watching this whilst getting frustrated already, however I am now hopefully on the mend :) The ankle op has happened and went as well as could do, so I now have 4 legs in the way of two crutches and in 2 weeks should have the stitches out and the recovery can begin so I can get back to doing some woodland work. Is the cost of the licence fee not extortionate now, when I last looked its was almost 4 figures, SWA was trying to get a group small distribution licence for people who only sell small amounts but locally but I've not heard any more in the last 6 months about it.

Thanks, I hope you recover quickly mate.
Yes the accreditation is stupid expensive, I’m applying via The National Forest group scheme but it’s very slow, I’ve been waiting 7 months but I need to get organised ready

Looked a bit like the bike shed when I was at school( without the kids smoking) before you put the mesh on then it looked like my mate Dave’s aviary🐦‍⬛🦅🤣 good job like 👍

I like it, one just like it in my back garden for firewood storage would be perfect.
