How many square feet living -garage-total and what is the cost per square foot? How much does this house sell for? Do you do floor plans for 5/3 split Ranch style, 2500sf? Pantry center island two car garage. Roof with solar which can be stored as back up electricity for power outage?
Diane, SCIP lends itself to more contemporary designs. There are so many variables, it really depends on location, terrain, infrastructure availability, etc…
Why do we want a house to last more than 40-50 years? Living systems and people's needs change over time. Building houses out of concrete is not sustainable at all -I do not want to live in a house made to last 300 years because in let's say in just 15 years it will be new technologies -. If I was told to choose between a beautiful old stone house or a new one made of CLT,... no doubt.
