They’re playing it quite a bit slower though. While I think I’ve seen live performances at recorded speed.

It's called a drop clutch. A drop clutch closes the hi-hat cymbals without foot pressure. It makes it so you to play closed hats and double bass simultaneously. You hit a rod sticking out above the top cymbals with a stick to close that hats. Look it up. They're pretty useful.

This is an extremely solid performance, why the fuck does anyone care what they look like? That's what's wrong with our industry too many people looking at the image and not enough people actually listening to the music because it's actually well made and if you don't believe me prove me wrong I'd love to see kids listening to music for the right reasons rather than ogling

i just wanted to say that in there whole career they have only had two drummers. The first was Alex who is currently one of the singers after there other singer angela left the band. they now have grind. :)

Underrated? They are like what Bolt Thrower are for Old School Death Metal. They reached the point where you can't go any more popular with a Brutal Death/Deathcore Style.
And let's be honest: music like this wasn't made to be "popular", or at least popular to a certain point.
I'm not saying that everything in metal should stay underground or whatever, but as long as the people out there keep the band alive, everything's fine ;-)

the thing he hits to make the bass drop noises. if you look right as it happens, he moves his left hand over and hits it. you can't see the pad, but you can tell he hits it.

@miamimetal eh kinda. it's just a little slower, barely noticeable. i tapped it out in fl studio out of curiosity. the studio version is about 112 bpm in the begining, this was like 109-110 bpm ha.
