Why do the dads always want to set up their daughter with an older man/friend? Why does that not gross them out-arranging a marriage with a man te same age as ou for our daughter to marry. Yuck!
They say marriage is for companionship. If person is so old. Won't he die. What will happen to the wife outliving. Won't that defeat the purpose. So woman of that era will have old age and no support.
I agree, but I reserve a little doubt as men were capable of being monsters being the same age as his wife. Once your daughter became 18, an older man is just a man. And if he is kind, he is gold.
I mean, back in those days when divorce wasn't an option, and wives went missing and were replaced with new wives without an investigation. They were beaten horribly. And so much more
