To be safe, I wear a play clock device on my belt, and keep a backup game clock on my wristwatch. If I have radio, I also communicate with my SJ (7-man crew) or LJ (5-man crew) about clock status and times.

On field goal attempts, he is under one upright with either a wing official or umpire, depending on association mechanics. He is responsible for ruling on kicks going under/over the crossbar and for the upright closest to him. He blows the whistle on tries and field goals when the kick either scores or misses.
