You should try neutral before genocide, also there’s a secret ending if you wait for Toriel after falling in the dark ruins at the start, a secret boss that you have to find certain items to activate and a different ending if you kill Ceroba in the Pacifist ending.
For the record, they didn’t take the soul to Kanako. They took it to Asgore. Kanako would eventually turn into an Amalgamate, specifically the spoon-shaped Amalgamate that tucks you into bed. It can be safely assumed she was released with the other Amalgamates in the pacifist ending of OG UT and reunited with Ceroba then. Also, Amalgamate overworld sprites DO NOT reflect actual appearance, so fret not, Kanako probably looks the same as she did, just a bit drippy now.
@@NoHandle44 The roll call during the credits reveals that the Amalgamates are all living with their families, and if that includes Memoryhead, that definitely includes Kanako. You can also find Shyra (Lemon Bread), Crystal (Snowdrake's Mother), and Muttler (Endogeny) in the epilogue.
when clover leans against the wall after donating his soul reminds me of the end of the original cod modern warfare 3 where captain price leans against the wall after killing makarov and takes out a cigarette to smoke.
Was anyone else hesitant to do Genocide and even Neutral route after seeing this? I mean… seriously. You don’t just go out and kill everyone after seeing this PERFECT ending…
@PRORAGEGUY i disagree I personally think they went through the neutral route a bunch of times flawed pacifist because in that ending they were reminded of the true reason why they jumped down That's why I've human souls and so when flowey reset part of that anger/determination for vengeance remained So they did the genocide route and were finally in control of themselves not flowey doing it And then clover decided this isn't truely just Because I failed to consider the monsters Reset and then did the true pacifist run I don't know I might be wrong this is just the order that I got the ending so I might be biased but I think it makes a lot more sense why would clover do the genocide route when the monsters have shown him nothing but kindness and and at the end of flood past fist you do get the missing poster back and you can get info on it saying a grim reminder of your true mission So I think it makes sense for Clover to do flawed pacifist genocide then troop pacifist after doing the neutral route of entertains
It can't be, since the genocide run leads to an alternative route where Flowey couldn't LOAD anymore (he was killed and Clover got more DT than him). And Clover wouldn't have any reason to LOAD anymore, they retrieved the souls, they completed their mission.
@phantom9831 I'd like to think that clover said to their self, no this isn't Justice this is vengeance and then reset Which would also explain why flowery stopped interfering in your business the pacifist one he knows that he can't take your soul In that you do what you want he's accepted that because he's already died
@@DanielGutsch Well that would contradict the whole point of this route, where Clover came to the understanding that this vengeance was his twisted version of justice. They were here to take the souls back from the monsters, they did their mission and "defended" themselves against anyone who tried to get on their way because it's "just to fight back" when you're attacked. The genocide run is the only one that could never actually happen if Undertale is after it. The Neutral may or may not have happened multiple time, it's possible but not exactly confirmed. Though we know that Flowey asks Clover to try something else if ever they were yo remember anything from this run (even if in truth, they can't remember anything from what we know). Which lets us with the True and Flawed pacifist, which could happen (not both though, only one). And given the last cutscene of the true pacifist, (where the gang meets up to honor Clover's memory), I'd say it's more likely to happen than the flawed one (though Asgore could've just tossed Clover's hat and gun in the garbage, but the true pacifist cutscene seems more likely to happen and explain it). As for Flowey, it's more like in the pacifist ending, he stopped interfering because after those at least hundreds of failed runs before "us" playing, he knew exactly how Clover would act, and he knew they'd go for that route, being nice to everyone. So he just let them go, thinking that they earned to peacefully die once and for all, knowing that there would be another human he could use later. Your theory isn't impossible, and if it's what you like to imagine I'm not the one who can judge and tell. But I've personnally seen nothing that could indicate that Clover would change their mind. I also have theory against it since basically it's that the S/L/R ability only works in the Underground. But I don't think I can really use it here, since it's just a theory about UT for now.
Okay, this may sound strange, but I really don't like the idea of Ceroba injecting a blue soul essence into Kanako's body. Yeah, there is some drama put into it, but this is just too irresponsible for her. I have come with this idea just now, but I think it might be a little better if Ceroba, due to Chujin's death, might have fallen into deep despair and sorrow, ignoring everything around her, including her own daughter. (Yeah, it is a bit anticlimatic, but close enough to real life, when some people just lose themselves when a close person dies(I've only seen this in some drama TV shows and series, so can't be fully sure about it, but I like this idea much more than what the developers had shown)) And Kanako, being just a little kid, goes to this secret room, watches the tapes, sees the blue soul essence and recklessly tries to inject it in herself, thinking that she can fulfill her dad's plan. Of course, that doesn't work, and she falls unconsсious. Later, Ceroba goes to the room to watch the tapes and finds her daughter lying unconscious. And she blames herself, of course. Sends her to the Lab. Loses herself even more. Maybe we could have felt her despair and impossibility of another way, and her actions in the game would've been a lot more explained and understandable. Anyways, that's just some suggestion from me. If you have questions, feel free to ask! Still, the game's really good. And I like Martlet.
