Someone very important to me passed away suddenly & unexpectedly last week. He is the reason I am a full-time pianist today. He believed in my music when I didn’t even myself, at the time piano was barely on my mind. He was an incredible man, someone who started with nothing but built a global company with thousands of loyal employees while raising a family who loves him.
His favorite piece of mine was Pachelbel's Nightmare. Canon in Dream is based on the main melody of Pachelbel's Nightmare, and this is why I'm dedicating this piece to him, someone who loved & supported my music without hesitation.

I just wanna say, that I am very bad with the piano. I can keep a straight rhythm, everything is kinda off and messed up. One day I had enough of this and stopped playing piano. During one and an half year. But then I discovered your channel. I was amazed by your skills and started to re-gain some interest in music. I subscribed to you one month ago and started to watch all your old videos. And thanks to you I am starting to play again. You made me realize how beautiful music was and given me hope. I still sound not great but this time I won't give up. A million "thank you"

This is golden, you can hear your sadness in the song, i am sure he would love it. Long ago a wise person once told me "Think of a loved one and make them proud." and now I say the same to you. Stay strong. Never surrender. This is just one down in your epic tale.
Canon was one of my very favorite pieces to play when I played violin/viola. To this day, whenever I hear it, I still finger out the notes on an invisable viola neck. Unfortunately, due to my Multiple Sclerosis, I had to give up playing more than 20 years ago, and I still miss it to this day. You bring tears to my eyes, not only for mourning my own loss of being able to play this piece, but hearing it played so beautifully and with such creativity.

It’s been years since I’ve genuinely cried and this music has gotten me to cry unlike anything I’ve ever experienced before. There is just so much in the piece, it really pact with emotion.

Pachelbels Canon is my favourite piece of classical music and I've listened to many many versions over the years. This is I think the best one I've ever heard!
