My father is Thai-Chinese and mom is Filipino-Spanish. Luckily, they didn't have in-law problems from both sides. But when my mom took my dad to Spain, that's where he encountered some racist/rude remarks for being in an interracial relationship with my mom. There were even men who tried attacking him physically (happened in the 80s). We ended up going back to Manila then settling here in Bangkok since 1996.
