I agree, I’m working full time with my business and I shoot with my s1h
And newly acquired eva1. Love the image and features make filming fun and easy!

Eva 1 wow. Why did you get also the Eva 1?

@@JonackFilm I wanted an all in one cam that included xlr, nd and cine body. Rigging my cameras got old and pulling the eva1 out of my bag and hitting record makes it easy to shoot. The image is beautiful and a step up from the s1h. The crazy part is that I bought it used for $1200usd
I tried working with the bs1h but after a year I couldn’t get comfortable with that camera.

@@ChrisFlores22 that's so interesting. And where can you see an improved image? In every Codec or only in All Intra? A while ago many said the S1h is the same sensor and Image as in the Eva 1. But I think they made something very good with the Eva 1.

@@JonackFilm definitely different sensors as the eva1 is s35. The bs1h has the exact same sensor and everything as the s1h. The eva1 has been highlight roll off and a thickness to the colors/image. Gotta see it. That’s shooting in longgop 422. I haven’t even tested all I yet

I “hate” you 😁😁😁. Firstly, I loved the video. What a huge difference makes to listen to a professional that talks about his own “tools” vs. general reviewers. This video is not for me, I am a simple aficionado with basic knowledge.. but I want to step up to committed amateur in 2024. Basically, I wanna film stories around me, from Basque Country and Estonia, that nobody else will talk about, and they will have a very limited audience. But it doesn’t matter, I really want to make them.
Any professional says “-you should start with anything you have, start filming, and then advance “.
And they are truly right…. But I know myself and I want a camera and tools that they will make my filming “easier” and , at the same time , a camera able to “catch up” technically with me while I am mastering videography. I know, I know, like most beginners, I want the unrealistic “all”.
I have very clear that I want to use one zoom lens, modern and then just vintage lenses.
I have been thinking about the S5 and S5ii, the fuji Xh2s, or a Cannon n r8. After watching your video, the S5 (damn you autoficus) or the s5ii seem the best options.
Whatever I choose, thanks a lot for this video. It helped me (and quite sure others) to think more, to make a wiser choice. Social media is awesome thanks to people like you, who share so much knowledge with others
