This is perhaps the best story i ever listened to. Jacob is now really my favorite character, his wits, his temper, the way he talks, everything. Truly a masterpiece of a story. And on top of that, beautiful narration, as always. This was really a delight
I love how he connected all the stories together from The Family storyline by introducing the vampire Babette to Jacob Masterson, and how they mentioned the devil having a partner in breaking the seals referencing Christian Davis from the Hellbound Storyline. Then to have Jacob return for the final chapter in Hellbound to fight Christian and Lucifer one last time before having the story end and lead straight into the Broken Messiah storyline!!! Such a talented author Dale Drake is. Wish they’d give him a Netflix series to show all these stories in live action and follow them through exactly as told❤
Wow! Absolutely loved this story! I didn't want it to end. I am an OTR truck driver and this story kept me going. I love your narrative of the characters. Thank you!
Loved listening to Jacob’s misadventures all the way through till the end again, and I’m so SO happy he got some peace before he had to ride off into the sunset one more time.
I absolutely loved this story, it's right up there with TFGS and The Neverglades. Huge shoutout to MCP for the incredible narration and to Dale Drake for such immersive writing. I'm excited to see more in the future
Another great series. It’s nice to listen to the whole thing at once. It’s like a movie, but without visuals. I love these! When I was a kid my grandma gave me a little portable radio. They had stories on certain station. They acted using Thor voices. They had sound effects and that old music. But this is the same!
@@masstv9052 thank you for the information.I have an app that plays all the old radio shows. It even uses the commercials from the time.usually Craft because they sponsored most of the shows.
jacob is such a badass charecter and i dont think any other creepy pasta artist would have been fit to voice jacob other than you, every time he insulted some other worldly monster with something along the lines of "try me b!tch" i felt such joy, truly one of the bes stories and narrations
This was well narrated. The voice you used for Masterson sounded almost like John Marston from RDR/RDR2 at times - not sure if you were going for that or not, but it was good.
I need to get my eyes checked, I read this as "The Chronic Masturbator" and went "That's one hell of a creepypasta name" brought me back to the "Stifferman" story you did a decade ago.
Just found out that this is not only written by the same guy who did Broken Messiah and Hellbound, but also plays in the same universe. Everything makes soooo much more sense now, oh my gosh
Him talking about the boys grave and saying he was coming back through and if it was disturbed he would kill him gave me “unforgiven” vibes with Clint Eastwood.
I've listened to like one of the hell demon type tails that had Jacob in it but never nothing that was like his story, so like 10 15 minutes into this and it looks / sounds like a well put togeather masterpiece
First, let me say I LOVE your channel, I listen to it every day. thank you for doing this for us all to enjoy! I have noticed that every once in a while, your pronunciation is off on a word. Would you think it rude or be offended if we helped you out with the right one? I don't want to offend you in any way, more to help you to make your readings even better.
Ive likely commented on this before but this is the third possibly fourth time ive listened to this. By far one of my favourite stories. Ita like the survivalist from fallout new vegas his story is incredably sad but very well written if anyone knows if i can buy this as a hardcopy novel let me know the author is incredably and mr. Creepypasta you sir are incredably talented i tip my hat to you.
After being so invested in this story I sometimes have to stop and remind myself that Jacob doesn't have his own unique voice actor and that he's voiced by MCP alongside everyone else.
he whom fears man is cowardly yet he whom fears God is wise. The path of righteousness is long and narrow, yet on the broad path the masses walk toward destruction. Lord I am a sword with no scabbard, my edge sharpened by your words that move my soul and grasp my entirety. If you walk so too will I, for I am amongst your flock and would follow you forever.

I have really enjoyed this series. You did a great job! Thank you for giving us a good entertaining story to pass sometime with.

I’d rather close my eyes and watch the movie in my head.
Great story and narration. I think I like The Settlement series more though. Hard to say.
Same
Hollywood, Netflix and the like have made movies exactly like the story exactly 0 times
I’d be afraid Netflix would mess up a live action. I’d rather see this in a animated series like Castlevania
Hey man, can you provide a chronological order in which I should listen to all of these stories? Would be very helpful
Western horror has so much untapped potential. I love this!
I love blood meridian
And bone thamahawk i
Third listen through, and still love it! Helps me so much while I'm on the forklift at work. Night shift DRAGS without stories like this
Jacob has to be the greatest fictional cowboy ever.
Agreed lol
3rd imo. Arthur Morgan, John Marston, and of course Jacob masterson
Fictional?
The guy from wasteland was pretty bad azz
Wow! Absolutely loved this story! I didn't want it to end. I am an OTR truck driver and this story kept me going. I love your narrative of the characters. Thank you!
Hey what about me do I not get any love lol

I do think the Dark Somnuim would've been great for a double feature
@razor4593 yeah, mom's voice would have fit especially for the lead suit of the mining towns
Man by far my favorite story to exist. Great job. I never wanted it to end
What are the other stories that are part of this series? Hellbound, these stories and what other ones?! Love these!
I love this. The music sets the mood very well.
I like that saying, "scared men get up to all kinds of foolishness" because of the truth in it. Thank you.
This was well narrated. The voice you used for Masterson sounded almost like John Marston from RDR/RDR2 at times - not sure if you were going for that or not, but it was good.
Also called Masterson Marston plenty of times accidentally
Wow! That was awesome man!
Best yet I think. Fantastic.
Gday from Australia 😎👍
Glad these stories are all compiled together loving them right now!
This is the best form of relaxing I know. He does it better than anybody. My favorite!

LOVE THIS STORY
This has a very dark towerish feel Jacob is a true gunslinger bet him and Roland would have made a good team
Too bad dark tower is just a western theme rehash of Elric....
He and Roland would have made a good ka-tet. 😉 I know I'm really late to the party but I just found this channel recently. I'm in awe!
Jacob sounds like the kind of guy I'd like to hang out with.
Can't wait to listen now as I'm on my recliner going to sleep
I love the long stories
Aside from tales from the gas station this is the best story you've ever done.
This was so damn good
Wow this was excellent 😍
Dang MCP, you could read the daily digest from the paper and I would probably listen lol
