Also since you mentioned the theory of the chummy being able to draw you into the imperm to stop the sequence to stop the desirae. You could swap the imperms for the lava golem so you take out the desirae and the apo🤷♂️ that way if you have an extra breaker (pot, talent, thrust) you get access to talent and rip their hand for hand traps or you golem their desirae+ flamberge to be it flamberge effect to turn on tactics cards that way you can steal their apo and have 2-3 negates for their hand traps+ princess in grave 🤷♂️ either way that golem is way better than the imperm at least going second. The only downside is that going first golem is worse in your hand than imperm but that’s a good price to pay imo. Also helps w side patterns for room for going first cards for certain matchups which is always nice. Edit: that way maybe you have so many side spots you could lowkey just side into the cross out package?👀 yo I might’ve cooked here and found the middle ground between your deck and my deck. So I main cross out and side into breakers and you main talents but no crossout. Lowkey could just main more tactics which are good for first and second and also side into crossout for going first🔥 could be worth testing. Not sure where droplet would fit into the equation if it does at all tho but it’s not needed just an idea
Could you please do some duel videos with this deck? I'm not understanding how a going 2nd build is better :/ Not saying I disagree with building it this way, I just can't seem to wrap my head around it
EDIT: sorry for yapping but I have a lot of points lol I appreciate it if you read all this😅 Yo Caleb really really impressive list and interesting theory. I agree with a lot of what you said especially the 4 cats that’s how I know you know what you’re doing and what you’re talking about. I disagree on shifter a lot because sometimes your hand just can’t play around it. I’ve played with it in the past and it’s just too hit or miss in my opinion plus if you play against a good player they’ll most likely commit very minimally or commit nothing at all because they know that purely can’t otk an empty board especially under shifter and you’ll be left with minimal follow up after you build your board and it’ll be as if you just went first but more difficult bc of shifter and they’ll just be drawing a 6th card for turn essentially. This is the problem I ran into against mannadium and tear a few formats ago when I tried playing shifter and in theory purely CAN play shifter, but realistically you’re just making it as if you won the die roll and have to go first under shifter so I think something like black goat (which I’ve been running for a 2 months now and have been enjoying) or more board breakers like more talents or lava golem which is absurdly good in purely (anima take and send to free cards with Beaty effect/ otk into the golem if your opponent has one more monster) I just don’t like shifter in purely after having tried it for a while. Also I think mulcharmy is a very strong card. I really like your theory with the imperm being the top deck that can stop the sequence I think that’s definitely a spot on take and very practical. However something worth considering (which is what I’m currently using and finding much success with) is instead of the chummy imperm I run droplet, golem(in the side because I run the cross out one of each hand trap with the exception of 3 main droll so it’s the same difference post side) I think it’s better to just have the droplet or golem in your hand then to hope to draw it with chummy. Yes you get the extra card advantage of drawing 2-3 extra cards but it’s much better to have 1 lava golem than 2 more engine pieces potentially bc the draws are random and most likely to hit a card weaker than golem. Also droplet can be used to send quick plays which is very nice. I can show you my deck list if you don’t mind but post side I have perfectly 9-12 sided in with perfect side patterns to cook end boards (including FS yubel and SE FS mainly) I am interested in trying out thrust over the cross out engine because I like the versatility of being able to go second with it as well for game 1. The thing is my main deck is built to be very strong going first and pretty good going second (I’m maining prosp + dark ruler as my main deck breakers + cross out package) and then siding heavily into going second which makes my deck insane at going second probably better than yours and then the other 3 cards in my side are just the 3 d fissure (I don’t beleive in siding in going first cards in general unless the side out spits you have are strictly going second a cards like dark ruler) whereas your deck imo is better than my deck going second but still really good going first bc the purely engine is strong but weaker going first bc the lack of cross out which can be dug for with prosp in case you have sufficient engine (basically feild spell access plus any quick play which is 4 mat noir) so just depends what you prefer. Personally cross out has been really really good for me and in those instances where i had cross out it’s hard to tell if setting ddg would’ve been better but I definitely like the theory because although you don’t set up noir which I can accomplish bc of cross out, ddg is just too broken. And your opponent will definitely try to play into it so you can otk next turn. The only issue is, if they hand trapped you to the point you had to thrust set ddg pass, it probably means your out of engine which means the ddg only bought you a chance to top deck engine which is 50/50 whereas if you cross out and end on noir you at least have 1-4 draws + maybe my friend and your opponent likely didn’t kill you and made a half board if anything which you can follow up on. Another advantage to cross out is being able to stop talents, dark ruler, terraforming, prosperity, imperm, or something else during there turn so it’s not a bad set card in case they didn’t hand trap you
@@DanielYGOandCR yo thank you so much. Just a couple thing I wanted to ask you. Droplet I’ve felt has been very weak in purrely because you also have to discard to play which with some hands makes it very hard. Another thing is I know Dinh plays the cross out but for me thrust has been very good and the more I’ve been using it I have been setting yeap rather than ddg half the times. Yes cross out does stop the handtraps so you can keep playing but going second the card is dead and with the breaker approach I’m trying to take thrust has been good. In order for me to play cross out I gotta switch my build completely and I don’t feel like doing that. I definitely agree with the lava golem tech choice I heard Dinh was playing it at euros but I don’t own the card in the same rarities sadly so I’m not playing it. Definitely will in the future. Thanks so much for the support and help hope you liked the vid. Many more coming.
@@CYGOTCG so the idea with droplet is that in theory you play so many board breakers that you’re bound to draw 2+ bc half your deck is non engine and that non engine is in the form of hand traps so against the snake board for example you bait the desirae with a take card and then chain droplet to send the board breaker and negate the desirae and take the apo. (This card is good and bad in this deck bc you have lots of spells to send but never any monsters unless you hard draw a cat) Against the yubel board its way harder because they have the phantom+ either the rank 10 or desirae plus the apo so your board breaker has to be droplet+ 2 board breakers which is the case regardless but thrust + prosp really helps with the math. Its very minus tho bc you have to activate a monster effect to turn on talents and thrust which is why I just play 1 talents as a cross out target and change of heart, mind control bc you can just activate them for free. Obviously lava golem is the best card in the whole deck (and as a side note, not playing lava golem even though you have a playset bc you have mismatched rarities is crazy work😭😭😭 1. Theyre in rarity collection so if it’s really that big a deal for you just get a playset of supers or ultras lol then upgrade to a playset of secrets but definitely hop on the card even if you have 3 different rarities bc that card will steal matches for you so often. Not to mention it’s also lowkey a time card if you time things perfectly but yeah it’s just sooooo good. I wish I could play sphere mode but it’s untargettable and you can’t attack it so impossible to out with purely engine or sp or anima unless you Zeus or dark ruler their field. But yeah the upside to the cross out package is that you can side in to more steal cards instead of the tactics cards which are good first and second but you have to turn on the cards by baiting an interruption so realistically it’s minus no matter what. Truthfully the only real issue is the yubel board bc of the multiple spell and trap negates but both our builds cook snake eye. Yo are you down to share discord? We can discuss more of these ideas if you’re down but if not it’s cool too I got no problem w that i understand. Theres an online regional this weekend so maybe could do some theory for that if you were down plus school’s abt to start for me next week so better to get some of the grind outa the way before I get too busy
Great list Caleb. One question: I like DDG as a Thrust target, the only issue I see is that only turn skips Snake Eyes since the other popular decks like Tenpai, Ritual Beast, Runick Stun and a few more can play through it. Is that a valid point and if not why?
Yes these are all great points. So another reason I like thrust is it can also set your yeap which definitely comes up under shifter if your playing against ritual beast. also against runick stun they most likely won’t be interrupting you on your turn. With that said the runick matchup is very hard for purrely regardless just because of how easy they can banish something crucial to your deck. Also you mentioned tenpai and I can definitely see your concern pre side the goal with that matchup is to make a noir with delicious which setting the yeap trap makes easier. But post side that match up should be no problem.
@@CYGOTCG I agree with your points. I would like to add that a few ways to know G1 if you are playing vs Tenpai I think are: 1. Deck count, Snake Eyes is usually 45+ while Tenpai 40. 2. They make you go 1st. 3. They Shifter you. In those scenarios then Yeap might be a better Thrust target. D Barrier would be optimal but thats adding another brick.
hey, nice video! One question: what is the name of the card you mention in 2:15, the one you mentioned while talking about dimension shifter? i'm getting back to play the TCG after 6 years and i'm not a native english speaker, couldn't get the name of the card by listening.
Great video and list. With shifter i am a bit confused though, against sneak eye, if they end on sp pass, cant they just sp your white cat when you xz? What is your counterplay to this without hoping you draw 3+ engine?
@@joshuaschwartz7840 Thank you glad you liked the vid. the counter to this is you have 5 cards in your hand right. You play 3 thrust 3 pot 3 imperm and three dark ruler as well as the rest of your deck being engine. You also can beat it if you open the field spell or even just a second quick play spell. So as long as you draw some type of combination of these you should be fine.
@@CYGOTCG I feel so split on black goat bc sometimes it’s so clutch in grindy scenarios when your opponent doesn’t have many plays but it’s also so good to call chundra for example that can lowkey just turn skip tenpai and against a bunch of other decks cutting off a key engine piece makes your noir spin waayyyy more valuable but sometimes I lowkey wish it was more copies of a board breaker or something like talents. Back in LEDE format when Dhin released the most recent Banlist the black goat would deal with the i:p bc your engine could handle the rest 99% of the time which is super solid but now the end boards have gotten so broken that goat feels so low impact but the other thing is that in theory you always need a discard so why not get value from it but at the same time that goat could also be a talents and you could discard another less important card in your hand. So basically the goat would go from being a mediocre card in your hand to the best card and your hand and another card in your hand would take the place of the discard say for example a yeap, a multiple, an field spell you don’t need against this particular end board. And that talents could be the one board breaker you need. For you I’d just play 3 lava golem in the main in place of that goat bc of how your build is with the 6 tactics cards already in the main. But you can test black goat bc it’s still a very very solid card going first but ehh going second and the deck doesn’t really need more help going first with the 10 copies of street in your deck already + called by
hello, i'm learning to play purrely and i really liked your list, finally someone who doesn't main crossout + mono hts. unfortunately i don't have thrust, how can i modify the deck to play without thrust? i know that thrust is particularly important for this list, but for now i just can't get it
@@francy21_6 hello glad to here your learning this deck. If you don’t own thrust I would recommend playing sphere mode or lava golem and if you have them play black goat laughs and either move shifter to the side or cut it. After I posted this video I’ve been testing without thrust and it works just as well. Just be aware that you cannot normal summon after using lava golem or sphere mode which can change the way you play. Hope this helped and if you have any other questions don’t be afraid to ask me.
Very good in formats where you don’t need to play too much non engine. It’s very bad at going second. I used to play it just after unchained/ test format. Was very solid
Hello Caleb, i'm new to TCG and purrely and still a bit confused about Anima. that card comes up only if they have something directly under the extra zone, right? from what i've got about link summons they can only be placed in the extra zone, unless one of your other links points to a monster zone already? is one extra deck slot worth this nice scenario?
@@carlopanarelli7798 yes it is completely worth it because even if they don’t have a monster in the zone it points to it still allows you to make s:p to banish a card because s:p requires a extra deck monster as a part of its material if you want to get the full effect. This way anima allows for you to break boards very cleanly.
You also definitely need it because in case your opponent makes a link monster with an arrow pointing up in the extra monster zone, 99% of the time it’s Apolloisa bow of the goddess which will have 2-3 monster negates typically, you can make anima directly below it and use its effect to attempt to equip the apollousa, using up one of its negates. Also sometimes your opponent has more than 3 monsters in the main monster zone so they can’t play around the anima columns (the two directly below the extra monster zone aka emz) so it does actually come up a lot also a cool play you can do is equip one of their cards and then use the pretty memory effect to send the equipped card to attach then use pretty memory again if you have a second copy beneath a purely xyz or if you made the big noir immediately after because that attack was the 5th material needed and you can use the noir’s effect via pretty memory to now send the anima to attach another one of their cards. So because you had anima you were able to get rid of 3 of their cards. Also it comes up so you can use sp effect to banish in summon which is very important
Nice job, Caleb. I'm a brand new purrely player, so I am going through the growing pain process (this deck is hard). I am playing the HT version with some prosperity's and DRNM. :) Edit, I've been seeing a list roam around that it's pure going 2nd. So maining the shifters, plus DRNM + Sphere mode or Lava golem and having your opponent go ham and then breaking it. Any thoughts on those since i find purrely to be a better board breaking deck? PSS: Any tips for newer players with the deck? Sometimes I just have awkward hand and don't know if I should commit into going too deep or I should end on a random happiness turn 1.
@@puzzledwhale2376 awesome to here your new to the purrely community. I am a pretty big fan of the going second build. The only problem in my eyes with the deck is you need very good rng to win consistently when you go second and if your opponent has any bit of non engine paired with their end board it becomes very hard to break. Some tips I would give you with this deck is don’t be afraid to go into a grind game with purrely when you begin it will help you so much more mechanically with the deck and it will make you a better player. Also don’t be afraid to use your noir spins as long as you think it is the right time to do so. Another thing you should take into account just like gameplay wise, is the fact that you can abuse your my friend purrely and street with the battle phase
You can crash your purrely xyz to add back resources. Also use your trap recycle wisely. That’s all I have for now but you can ask more questions anytime.😊
@@puzzledwhale2376yo I HIGHLY recommend watching Dhin Khang Pham’s most recent purely deck profile. It is pre INFO (the most recent set) but the principles of the deck list and everything he says in it is still very very valuable and definitely still applies 99% of the time. Also (if you’re willing obviously it’s pretty expensive) he does offer an 11hr+ masterclass of how to play purely including deck and card choice theory, multiple replays against every matchup. Going first test hands and how to prioritize things (you don’t have to watch every second of the master class I recommend just the test hands and replays the deck building is relatively secondary I think the technical play will overcome deck building 80% of the time with purely because the engine rewards the best player more so than any other engine imo) it is 100$ but I HIGHLY recommend it. It’s better to get the masterclass than to struggle through 10 locals tournaments and keep losing a lot. It’s definitely a great investment of time and you will definitely get way better at the game. I’ve been playing purely for over a year now and 2 months ago I used the masterclass and my gameplay got infinitely better and I started topping and winning my locals left and right and made back that $100. Also there’s a channel on youtube called “Aphian” who got top 4 in the Oceanics national championship so just one round away from going to worlds who was also playing a very similar purest list to dhin khang pham ( a testament that this is a very successful deck theory as there haven’t been any major tops by purely players recently other than them two specifically with the exception of another play in oceanics who got top 64 I think who was playing the hand trap build which is has way more variance and takes away from the ceiling that your personal technical play can bring you, namely drawing a perfect combination of hand traps is more luck based than consistently drawing board breakers that all do the same thing (thrust which is an interesting choice that I’d like to consider, prosperity which gives you whatever you want, dark ruler, and all the take cards like change of heart mind con and talents, if you have a game plan with drawing those cards and minimal engine it’s more consistent than trying to draw the perfect combo of hand traps then being left with few cards in your hand to actually play with when purely is the kind of deck where you mostly need every card in your hand) anyways Alphian has a couple of very insightful 30+ min videos on how to play purely properly this format against snake eyes and his deck profile was also very insightful
Nope because you will have the trap to recycle the cats. Also I would like to have a lesser chance of drawing two because that’s how you really brick. Although I will say I could definitely be talked into playing three white cat because I play shifter and that’s how you play around shifter. Thanks for your suggestion hope you enjoyed the rest of the deck.😊
@@Titer179 I can see that theory but with 4 the chances you see two dramatically decrease. Playing 4 also allows for more non engine which means that that second cat you may have opened could have been a talents or something better that you wouldn’t want to discard.

Yo what do u think of the nimble package plus some sprights??
Edit, I've been seeing a list roam around that it's pure going 2nd.
@@CYGOTCG Thank you so much! Subbed and looking forward for more purrely content!
@@puzzledwhale2376 thanks for the sub glad to here this helped
Also there’s a channel on youtube called “Aphian” who got top 4 in the Oceanics national championship so just one round away from going to worlds who was also playing a very similar purest list to dhin khang pham ( a testament that this is a very successful deck theory as there haven’t been any major tops by purely players recently other than them two specifically with the exception of another play in oceanics who got top 64 I think who was playing the hand trap build which is has way more variance and takes away from the ceiling that your personal technical play can bring you, namely drawing a perfect combination of hand traps is more luck based than consistently drawing board breakers that all do the same thing (thrust which is an interesting choice that I’d like to consider, prosperity which gives you whatever you want, dark ruler, and all the take cards like change of heart mind con and talents, if you have a game plan with drawing those cards and minimal engine it’s more consistent than trying to draw the perfect combo of hand traps then being left with few cards in your hand to actually play with when purely is the kind of deck where you mostly need every card in your hand) anyways Alphian has a couple of very insightful 30+ min videos on how to play purely properly this format against snake eyes and his deck profile was also very insightful
yo ngl this list is insane you should probably consider playing better for when your deck building rewards you!
@@leonardodominguez8659 Mann shut your goofy mouth up
2 2 is definitely wrong bruh, if u draw 1 purrely and summon 1 of quick spell u r aout of them so that is wrong
@@CYGOTCG i guess but if u draw 2 u can discard other one
@@Titer179 I can see that theory but with 4 the chances you see two dramatically decrease. Playing 4 also allows for more non engine which means that that second cat you may have opened could have been a talents or something better that you wouldn’t want to discard.
@@CYGOTCG what about runick matchup, if they banish your cats if so small amount
@@Titer179 the runick matchup is already almost impossible even if they banish 2 of your quick spells you lose. The only way that matchup is winnable is if you go first
