For the ZZZ video, you're seeing something from the past. A war between humans and oni. Yanagi was a soldier, and ended the war by sneaking behind enemy lines to meet with the dying daughter of the dead oni leader. She met the little blue oni along the way, who is also playable in ZZZ, and basically adopted her as her sister after merging her blood with the blood of Soukaku's real sister, the dying oni leader. Yanagi is basically part oni now, a symbol of unity and peace, and works for Section 6, a division of HAND, which are anti-hollow specialists and not police. Soukaku is also a member of Section 6 now and is still extremely attached to Yanagi.

Sparkle's voice actor being Ueda Reina always surprises me, she isn't known to voice these characters, she's the voice actor of Kanao from Demon Slayer, Honami from Project Sekai, Miyo from My Happy Marriage, and Ganyu from Genshin. She's known for soft voice
She did Akane from Gridman before this and that'a basicly her Hanabi gremlin voice.
It's the quiet ones that are always freaky

The introduction of Sparkle into HI3 really started tying the lore of HI3 and HSR together beyond "Welt Yang is a character from HI3 who accepted the call to jump onto the Astral Express to find (and protect) this universe's Himeko". With Sparkle comes the concepts of aeons, paths, etc. I'm really looking forward to seeing how this all ultimately ties together, especially considering HI3 storyline-wise we're still 2+ years away from the events of APHO.
The other thing is Vita becoming a member of the Masked Fools, a faction within HSR that Sparkle is a part of.
5:00 This is a prequel. Some trailers show the past of characters.
Also I suggest to react to some more of hoyofair stuff. "Progenitor" is a nice series of 4 eps (so far). It reimagines some genshin characters in a cyberpunk setting and it is really well made.

Whoo! Yanagi came outta nowhere with that crazy lore drop, and she's been great fun in the story. Her vibe of "single mom office lady is the only sane one in this gremlin squad" is pretty fun. The 2.4 intermission was great too
Should mention what happened there.
Humans and oni were at war, but the war was just senseless because all the instigators were long dead. Yanagi wanted to bring peace, so she went in alone to negotiate with the dying Oni leader. Since the leader was dying anyways, they decided that Yanagi would bring back their head as scapegoat to appease humanity, and Yanagi would become Half-Oni so she could speak for both sides- the only way the oni could trust someone to speak for them was being one of them. Thus soukaku saying "smells like sister" at the end- Yanagi had taken her sister's blood to become part oni.
Anyways, peace was had and Yanagi is raising Soukaku as a sorta-regent until Soukaku is old enough to rule herself
Hoyo is supposed to lean into an avenger style universe with their games. I really hope we see more things like this in the future. Very excited for the actual crossover event!
So, the entire fight between Sparkle and Vita takes place within Sparkle's illusions. The first place you see is actually Venus before Honkai destroyed it.
ZZZ is really neat, on the surface it gives off this bubbly silly feeling with its animation style and the surface level stories
but then you start digging a bit deeper and it's not all smiles and roses (Heck, the main premise of the game is investigating the happenings of Hollow Zero, which swallowed up previously the main city of the game and almost all of it's people)
I really love the special rock variant of Sparkles theme they included in the collaboration animation

To give some context on Vita,
Vita is the goddess of Venus in Honkai Impact, she has a giant mecha gundam called Star Traveler or Star Jumper depending on the translation/language, the giant mech is a part of actual gameplay in the game.
Spoilers Below:
Vita was invited to join the masked fools by Sparkle in the main story of HI3rd and she accepted, Vita is actually a clone of "Sa" who's the previous god of Venus whom Vita usurped hence why she got a bit pissed when Sparkle called her Sa.

In terms of the first video, she's not police. She's section 6 - which is one of a few specilized militery teams that are responsible for dealing with large threats that come from the Hollows (the bad place in game). So she was a solider in the war in the video, and then after that moved on to be a member of the Section 6 team.
every teaser of zzz is the background or past story of the character so the yanagi one is the past of her when the new eridu si newly build because of the catashtrophe hollow

Having gone through the story arc in the game (but not the limited time portion, so ymmv), I think it's safe to say that Yanagi, despite being the "deputy commander", is quite literally the brains of Section 6.
The other members, including Commander Miyabi, appear to share a single brain cell between them.
fyi just so you know both sparkle and vita are basically harley quinn crazy. sparkle always is hyper crazy while vita is more of a calmer troll and just messes with everyone
