    Like everyone else iam enjoying all these episodes. I was in a car wreck last week and have been in recovery mode and these old shows are a great escape from these times. 😊

    Yeah, the cleaners is still open and that station is a museum now. The blond is character actress Eva Brent who had a long working career. Regina Gleason is a stunner. The actor playing the hit man nails it. And Dan Matthews is very smart here.

    9:34 Another thing you don't see anymore is the metal foil tape on the glass doors of the dry cleaners. That was the burglar alarm sensor that carried a current that would be broken if the glass was broken after hours.
    I remember as a kid every storefront had them on the doors and glass windows.

    I live in the San Fernando Valley. It is great to see Chatsworth as it was in the 1950s. It's not like that anymore, although there is a Chatsworth station again now thanks to Metrolink and Amtrak.

    The brunette in the dry cleaner also acted in another episode of Highway Patrol where she played the accomplice of a vengeful escaped convict. She looks a little like Ava Gardner.

    I like the way this show used real backdrops of small California towns. I'd have loved to see it, then, but I had the green of the Blue Ridge Mountains, and the beauty of Rio de Janeiro, and the mountains surrounding Guanabara Bay.

    The park that 'everybody knows about' was only a tiny roadside pullover... XD. No wonder the killer took 'a half-hour' to drive 5-miles to actually find it. I love this series....

      Actually they rusted out pretty quickly and by the time you put 60,000 miles on it you started thinking trade in. Cars today are far, far superior to those. BTW, I'm 70 and remember those cars well.

    Even if his prints are not on file, he should not leave prints at scenes. If someone sees him or he is found near a scene, obviously his prints can be matched. He also should have gotten a train schedule wben he arrived, so he would know departure times. No sense having to hang around at or near the station for a long time after doing 2 murders.......

That's a good looking male dispatcher. Now a days you don't hand out any unnecessary info about folks like the dry cleaner lady did. It's best not to give unknown folks anything, just tell them that you'll take a message and try to get info from them instead.

    Fortunately I'm not old enough to remember rental cars from that era. Must have been very different from now. Highway Patrol is in '57 Mercurys, and here is a '54 Ford, a convertible with a Continental kit spare tire?? This is out in the sticks. That is no fleet car. Hertz did offer Shelby Mustangs in the mid '60s, and I remember in the '80s a company called Rent-a-Wreck offering a pretty motley fleet.

      @@alphonsozorro7952 Ah! But....most old buses did have mirrors inside the bus. The mirrors were to allow the driver to keep an eye on the passengers. In this case, the mirror was removed to avoid reflections appearing on camera.

      Edward John Rogan...passed away in Tampa Florida...the family brought the body back to New York...stayed in the morgue until May...ground is too frozen to dig into...👮‍♂️...Brodrick Crawford does a great acting job in this show...remember give blood to the Red Cross not on the highways...😭

      He sticked to his contract which said the two brothers, not anybody else; even refused, twice, a bigger offer to call off the killings. Being too professional and courteous didn't help. His ethics either.
