In the Garden with today's video as I struggle to remove Steel Edging in the yard. Struggle until I bring out the big boy Reciprocating saw. Tool review coming soon!
I took a different approach using a garden hose and a small brass nozzle around each stake to create a specific mud puddle ONLY where there were stakes. I let it sit for a few hours so it would not be as muddy. I own a weed pulling tool called an Extractigator Classic. The jaw of this tool will reach over the top of the edging about 1 inch and clamp firmly on the metal. By rocking back on the handle, vertical lift is achieved and the entire section comes up. I have a couple of stakes that were more stubborn so I will use a shovel to dig them out and may use another water treatment.
how did you get rid of it all? I'm trying to remove the stakes so the pieces are more manageable but can't get them out! I don't have a reciprocating saw :(

Hey Cary! Great question. If you have pickaxe or shovel, that will do the trick.
