- Story: After the initial strike of the darkness and the other battles with corrupted Bikini Bottomites, The Bikini Bottom Crew decided to run away to another part of the ocean using The Flying Dutchman's Haunted Ship. Unfortunately, during their escape, the darkness had dropped the anchor to the ship, trapping them just above Jellyfish Fields. The Darkness managed to capture Mr Krabs before forcing the ship to crash, the only survivor being everyone's favorite yellow undersea sponge. Now, he must face off against the twisted abominations he once called his friends, with an unlikely ally on his side.

Funnily enough, this is accurate. Karen and Plankton are able to communicate with each other via cell signal transmitters and receivers in both Karen's head and the suit Plankton wears, so she would have been able to hear everything, including Plankton being corrupted
Stewie survives in Aftermath, actually. He just barely escapes, and fights Mayor Adam West in Showdown.
You know it would be cool to see sandy being able to free plankton and battle the corrupted
Fun Facts about this Darkness Takeover AU:
- Plankton and Karen formed an underground secret base in the newly reformed Chum Caverns, where the survivors currently hide out until further notice. Some of the survivors staying there are Mrs Puff, Stanley SquarePants, Pearl(?), Larry the Snail, Spot, and Barnacle Boy.
- The D-Side Counterparts would be those from The Patrick Show (obv), with Patrick and Squidina being the protagonists, Patrick's parents being Joe and Cleveland, and Grandpat being Quagmire.
- The Krusty Crew Synthol is currently known as Ketamine Krabs, while the D-Side variant would be called Memantine.
- Patrick's D-Side appearance would be Patrick-Man.
- D-Sides Darkness Takeover Nick Mix would be an official Prequel to the events of DT Nick Mix, with the ending having Memantine claim Squidina and move on to the rest of Bikini Bottom.
- Plankton's Endtimes Armor is built from the broken remains of defective Karen models, including Karen 2.0. The real Karen is not a fan, and constantly grills Plankton about it via the comms systems that link the two when they're apart.
- While I originally planned for Gary to take the place of Brian, in the end, I chose for Spot, Plankton's pet amoeba, to take the role.
(Edit: Because there isn't a good Spot chrom - or any Spot chrom at all - Brian is Gary, and Spot is a survivor instead. Think of it as them switching roles)
- Stand Off is Squidward vs Daddy Dearest.
- If there were ever to be a Seth MacFarlane song in Darkness Takeover, the Nickelodeon Mix equivalent would be David Hasslehoff.
- At the end of Airborne Nick Mix, Squidina doesn't get set free, her soulless body being protected from damage by the darkness. (Edit: Yeah, I forgot about this detail. She got uncorrupted and died during the crash. This fact is invalid)
And finally...
Plankton does get corrupted at the end of this song, and the Final Showdown takes place inside the darkness.
So does that mean SpongeBob and plankton might have a chance to come back? Even though their well inside the darkness/glitch

This seems similar to what I thought of if someone were to make this a cover or Aftermath... but Sandy Cheeks would've replaced Stewie instead of Plankton, though it makes sense why you have Plankton here. I also thought of Squidward taking the place of Quagmire and Mr. Krabs replacing Joe, though you have it swapped from what I thought of.
I also asked the real aftermath people if they can make the good ending from Brian from the future. And turns out Karen and Karen 2.0 are Brian. So Like you said, if SpongeBob and Plankton has a third chance of not being curropted, Karen can sing while Karen 2.0 upgrade weapons to bring back SpongeBob. Because Plankton has his third chance early, and SpongeBob didn't. He got his later. But Karen 2.0 wanted him back already.
I like how they did that meme ant the end like its analternative ending where spongebob,squidward and plankton survived and stopped corrupted mr krabs

I was thinking that the guy who was a student of Mrs. Puffs who bullied and punched SpongeBob and didn't do any damage would be in place of Final Fight. I didn't really think of Bubble Bass being Ernie since Bubble Bass has kinda become a more chill side character in the SpongeBob series now. I don't think the other guy is though, he's not really used in episodes anymore.

There's two reasons why he didn't regenerate here: Cauterization (Most notably with his head and arm), and The Darkness, which is attempting to regain control of SpongeBob throughout the entirety of this song. If this were an actual mod, his sprites would reflect this

A somewhat simple version of the lore is in the description, but basically, after the initial strike, The Krusty Krew (And Patrick) climb aboard The Flying Dutchman's Ghost Ship, but it gets taken down by the darkness, allowing Krabs, who was corrupted before the crash, to kill Patrick and Squidward
wheres the fire and WHY IS SPONGBOB MELTING?
Idk what I was thinking regarding the fire and the crash, so I just assume its off screen. SpongeBob, though, isn't melting. Instead, the crash caused parts of his body to be torn up a bit, which is why the holes are jagged and stuff

I am so sick and tired of telling this and I just want a proper song. It may seem like a minor inconvenience, but I put all of the songs I like on a playlist. It is so annoying when I hear it. I’ve been wondering, how did plankton get corrupted? (If he didn’t my bad) but if he DID get corrupted, how? Because couldn’t he fly away and just escape? I mean after all, he is flying in the air, so..
Plankton does end up being corrupted, with Ketamine Krabs having used the net in one of its hands to keep Plankton from flying away. By the time Plankton was able to slip through the holes in the net, the darkness had already gotten onto him, and it was all over.
