I'm from Mysore and yes this story is true and still this curse exist, childless la small correction the adopted son will have kid but the kid born to the adopted son will be considered the heir so he will not have kids so he adopt so yes as u said it goes with alternative generation. Yaduveer is adopted son so he had son Adyaveer, Aadyaveer will not have son so he will adopt.

Hi, the curse is still continuing. The current Raja Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wadiyar was adopted. Because of that only people here in Mysore believe that since he doesn't fall into wadiyar family, the curse didn't affect them and his wife gave a birth to boy baby.
So we need to wait and see if the new born son will have a child or not?

Yes, Raja Wodeyar is subordinate King of vijayanagara empire. Only if Thirumala is killed they can can rule as independent kingdom. Each Nayak ruled are like mysure, Tanjore, madurai, gengi, started to become independent as vijayanagara empire was nearly disintegrated after battle of talikota

There's a kannada lavani song on this and we performed on it during our school days. The story is real and the curse is "Talakadu Maralagi, Malangi Maduvagi, Mysooru Arasarige Makkalagadirali” which translates to "let Talakadu become sand; let Malangi become a whirlpool; let the Mysore Rajas fail to beget heirs"

What still amuses me is, usually the river bank will be fertile land. Though river malangi ( kaveri ) is flowing, talakadu still looks like desert. Maralu na manal ( sand) and one more thing is the river has so many whirlpools. As a kid when we visited talakadu we were not allowed to go near the river and play.

But that queen name is also same and my grandpa name is munusami... My mother name is maharani.. Her own sister and brother name is tamil Selvi. Annadhurai.. And ramachandran..
