So happy to come across this song. Loved it as a child. Got attached to it somewhere. So nice to hear it again. Nostalgic memories. Thx for putting it up. Right now am 24, a BE, MBA HR in Bangalore. Thanks Paul for being a part of my childhood. We all stand together !
I hear this every year around New Year and i always weep from the nostalgic memories i get from me and my younger brother watching this as kids.... i hope this movie survives till the end off time for the kids of the future to watch!
i remember seeing this film when i was really young, and my dad playing the single (on vinyl) to me. I use to laugh my head at those three frog doing the bass
Win or lose, sink or swim One thing is certain well never give in Side by side, hand in hand We all stand together Play the game, fight the fight But whats the point on a beautiful night? Arm in arm, hand in hand We all stand together
WHat I find really sad is that they've replaced a classical cartoon like this with the new modern computer generated version. You can't replace something as good as this! this song makes me want to cry!!xx
This brings me back to the time it first came on television, as a kid I watched it with my grandmother and we loved those fat frogs. Great animation, it still hasn't lost it's charm over the years.
Oh my... I used to watch these in Canal 5 from Mexico, when I was about 4 years old... So much memories... Thank you for bring me back in those days when all my life was only joy an games.
In my late teen's when this came out in the 1980's for quite a time it was the go to video ( on constant repeat) for me and pals as we stoned out on weed - happy memories !! Now I play it to my Grand kids ( no weed involved !) . Strange it is a tune that stays with you forever in your life - quite an achievement from McCartney again.
I play this video everyday for my 1,5 year old son. He's crazy about frogs and it's a lot of fun for us watching him watch this. One day i'll post a video of this event. Thanks for posting!
This is why I love Macca. Raunchy rock one minute, a frog song the next. Never worries about not being cool and that's what makes him so ultimately cool. This song makes you feel warm and safe. And it has a great cheering up quality as well. You just have to smile. :)
It's from a short animated film called "Rupert and the Frog Song". The single "We All Stand Together" was credited to Paul McCartney and the Frog Chorus. It got to no. 3 in the UK charts at Christmas 1984.
My uncle used to play an audio tape with this song. I did'n understand a word as English is not a native language in here, even though I enjoyed it, what proves music is universal. It seems incredible indeed, but the last time I listened to it was some 22 years ago, and now that I found it I just couldn't help start crying like the child I was when I used to listen this wonderful song. Cheers!
I agree I remember seeing this on a commercial last night and ended thinking about it all night trying to remember the whole song. I love this song I had actually forgotten all about it till I saw that commercial. The song stuck in my memory but not the commercial.
I used the slightest hint of a memory to find this (basically a white bear and singing frogs), I'm 33 now and have no idea how old I was when I saw this the first and only time until now, other than that my age was a single digit number.
I adore this so much! I have loved this for years and cannot help loving it now. It was a wonderful part of my childhood and remains a part of my life I never want to forget. 5 stars to this wonderful video
The first time I heard this song was in a non-stop millenium flashback radiobroadcast, where they played the best 2000 songs off the millenium. I instantly pressed record on my cassette player. It gave the millenium-change a very magical feeling, still have good memories to that, and the song.
What is amazing is that this cartoon was around even in the 90s. I would have had to been 4 to 6 seeing this cartoon and i was born in 1990. The animation in this alone is just superb, a lot of which you hardly see at all these days. Not sure who worked on the animation, but it rivals that of Disney and even Don Bluth back in those days I would assume.
Love this beyond words. Massively reminds me of my granddad, My granddad used to imitate the frog words just to make me laugh when I was a young kid. So many happy memories have just come flooding back. :-)
Anybody who 'dissess' this doesn't get it for the innocence that was both of the song and of the time. Classic song, classic lyrics. Thanks for posting
Hace mas de 20 años que lo veía, como intro a las caricaturas del sábado, recibía la señal de XHBG Canal 13 desde el Cerro Burro de MICHOACAN. Muy buenos recuerdos de ese entonces en Morelia.
the most magical moments of my early youth happened when my (step)dad popped this VHS in. What i related to the most is the fact ruperts mom doesnt believe he witnessed this frog orchestra, So familiar, when i tried to bring up a fantastic story to my mom :) This song will stay important to me for the rest of my life, reminds me of how beautiful life is when you are young ;)...
This was made in 1984 by Paul McCartney. The song, We All Stand Together, went to no.3 in the UK and the video, Rupert and the Frog Song, was the biggest selling video of 1985, won a BAFTA and was nominated for a Grammy . When it was released, the video also had two other shorts, with music, written by Linda McCartney - Seaside Woman and Oriental Nightfish. x
a classic song in its own right but i love it cos i grew up with it in the 80's, a time i would love to experience again, it was the best time of my life when everything was new.
This is what I love TH-cam for; finding old childhood songs that otherwise would've been a lifelong memory that would've felt like a dream.
Oh my, I am now 62 and I remember this song as an absolute favorite from my young years, Fabulous, what a surprise to see it here......
Hand in hand, we all stand together!!
This will always remind me of my grandma who I lost last month :'( makes me cry every time I listen to it
This reminds me of my Grandad , bizzare song but I get what your saying ☺ x

One of my son's favorites as a child. "We all stand together" is still sung at the dinner table.
WHat I find really sad is that they've replaced a classical cartoon like this with the new modern computer generated version. You can't replace something as good as this! this song makes me want to cry!!xx
Beautiful quality on this version. I never knew this movie existed, but now I must watch. Thanks for the upload.
I'm glad I'm not the only one who remembers this song. I've been trying to find others who watched in when they were kids.

My sister bought me the book and audio tape when she visited England in the 80s. Never knew they made a video! Great!
This is why I love Macca. Raunchy rock one minute, a frog song the next. Never worries about not being cool and that's what makes him so ultimately cool.
