I am also getting married this Dec. 25th, and we plan to have our honeymoon here this December 30th. It's our first time to visit a cold place, and I'm still thinking if we can handle the cold. I'm also worried how to get to Takayama from Tokyo. We are staying in Tokyo for 3 days then we plan to travel to Takayama. Do explore Shin Hotaka next time, its picturesque. Take the nohi bus from takayama bus station.
