Adopting a cat is just about the best thing I've ever done. He brings me so much happiness, and I take so much joy in giving him a home and lots of love.

You gave him a home?... 😏 Open the door and you will see how grateful he is 😄 he will run out as fast as he can! Cats are not indoor creatures. As a matter of fact they hate it! They only return home to take some nap, eat and spend some nights in the winter. Sometimes it rains and they stay outside. They are not predictable. They go as they please!! 🌞💕
So much frustration...I have tried so MANY of the good wet cat foods and they will not eat them. We shared some of our roast chicken(from Thanksgiving) they didn't like it either. So for a few days, just dry stuff.

@@serpente300 They really do; my stepmom and my dad are the people of two beautiful cats from the same litter, and one is more content to stay inside, that'd be Grey. And he's a longhair. The other one, Licorice, on the other hand, will (and has on many occasions) argue as to why he should be let out in 26°F weather. He's a short-hair, so we especially worry about him.
This is just the cutest story! I love how Simon's cat was trying his hardest to help Teddy. I also find it funny that he's figured out all the places to get food so he doesn't have to eat his owner's.
Watched a spy cam thing years ago on bbc. Cats often have a back up plan it seems.
This definitely happens. "Our" cat started getting x-mas cards form a little old lady down the road! We did not know her, but "our" cat sure did.
My vet: Your cat is fat, he needs to lose weight.
Me: well he feeds himself outside so I'm not sure i can help that.
My cat: follows Simon.

...can no longer eat them because he is full. Outdoor cats have at least one or two other "Hoomans" to take care of them.
That's the first Simon's Cat that made me cry. It was just so sweet the way Simon's Cat was so worried about Teddy and how good a friend he was. It made me so happy! I lost my beloved cat of almost 18 years a few weeks ago and this just melted my heart.Thank you!

So sorry for your loss, I lost and about 2 years later I rescued a kitten but lost him to illness way too soon. It's heartbreaking...still miss them even though it's been years.

Over half a century ago the cat from across the street used to sit on the windowsill beside our back door and rattle the door handle until our cat “came out to play”!!!

I couldn't work out why Lynol, our white cat, was getting a huge belly that swung from side to side when he walked.
Our older cat, Melvyn, went missing, and I was asking all the neighbours, mostly students, if they had seen a black and white cat. The reply from most of them was, "No, but there is a small, white cat that comes round for food every night."
Melvyn came home, and Lynol was fitted with a collar that said, "Please do not feed!" Much to his chagrin! 😂😂
3.17, the way Teddy is happy to see Cat again and hugs him!!! And wants to offer him the little he has and how disappointed he is when Cat doesn't like it... Breaks my heart every single time...
Same around 6 with the woman.
That's why I try to rescue any that I can. When they are finally warm, safe, & loved, they are so grateful! 😻❤️

This one always makes my eyes water, since it's so wholesome.
All of the cats I've ever had were either adopted or found the way to our house in one way or another.
I still remember the cat that somebody took into a bar and just left there.
I went with a friend who told me about it the next day.
She lay on a chair, I sat down next to her, she looked at me, got up and sat on my lap.
That was the beginning of 17 long and joyful years.

What made me cry was the broken toymouse. It makes me think that he got abandoned, which lead me to think about all the abanoned pets out there and from there on out it was waterworks on.

We once had a kitten thrown over our front porch by some a-hole, probably because we already had one (that was abandoned too before we took her in).
He is now a very happy cat and has been living with us ever since.

My boy was abandoned as a kitten, he was rescued by cats protection age 2 with abscesses, bitten ears and fiv, I adopted him and he came with a dogs blanket, a square of carpet and a tatty toy mouse 😢
He now has a box full of toys, climbing stations, beds all over, inc my bed, and a whole heap of love

I sometimes watch a Korean rescue channel. They call dog owners "guardians". I like that. But especially like that sometimes they call cat owners "butlers". 😅
I found this video a few days ago and I keep finding myself coming back to it. Teddy reminds me so much of how I got my cat. I found him one night on the back porch hungry and scared. All he wanted was food and to be loved. I stayed outside that night with him for hours just holding him. He was to scared to come into the house so my grandfather built him a house on our back porch. He finally came inside the house and he has been my best friend for 11 years now.

Simon is so worried that his cat isn't eating "his" food that in the end his whole kitchen is full of grocery bags probably full of different kinds of catfood!!

I've been through that, lol! Except my kitten didn't go outside & get food from the neighbors. He just threw up everything! It took a couple months to find one he 1) would eat, & 2) didn't puke back up.
He never did eat ANY cat treats. None. Not the soft ones, not the crunchy ones, not even catnip flavored ones. He would eat Cheetos, though, so I would get a little bag & break him up one each day.
Oh, he liked coffee too! Which he couldn't have! 😳
The still shot at the end of the kitten eating ALL of the new food was hilarious!
Realistic with indoor cats as well. If it's not name brand tuna, they refuse to eat.

Beautifully true. And how contrary is Teddy. Refuses the bows & trappings from the lady with the real food but is proud to show off his collar & bell from the lady with the tinned food! He know when he's loved, doesn't he? 😻

I can't stop watching Teddy's story. Love the happy end and the cats' friendship. My favorite episode is when the Hedgehog commiserates with dejected Simon's Cat on Teddy's disappearance. The way Simon's Cat complains about it is so funny!
Anyone who has ever owned a cat, or been 'owned' by a cat (in the original meaning of the word) will see all the subtle mannerisms and clues of cat behaviour, in these excellent videos.

This story moved me a lot. All three of my cats came from abandoned contexts and seeing Teddy reminds me of them and also of all the others who need a home so badly. They are worth loving!

@@AnZAlaknar I've heard the official name for Simon's 🐈 is "Bean". I, however, prefer to call him Snowy. And his little brother Smokey. The girl 🐈 is officially called "Missy", the bully 🐈 is called "Ruffy" (or "Tuffy", I can't remember), and the rehomed stray is called "Teddy".
When I already had three cats, one morning I woke up to my youngest one named Mateo bringing home a four months old female kitty that was pretty feral. You could tell they were partners in crime from the very beginning and we started feeding her and letting her sleep at home although she didn’t seem to trust us at all. Mateo was the thing she loved the most in the entire world. At first we fostered her and one day a man came home to adopt her but she managed to scape the kennel and hide under my couch. The man left and that was the first night she slept in our bed, hugging my leg. Almost one year later she’s still with us for good, and now I think she loves us even more than him. My little baby girl Runrun, the only one that literally chose us ❤️❤️❤️
It's heartwarming to know that Cat, despite being notoriously protective of his food (especially against Kitten), helps Teddy get fed. And Teddy's fears of kittens is justified: a lot of momma (even some papa) cats attack strange cats in order to defend their kittens.
This is so beautiful. And my heart breaks for the little cardboard box Teddy made his home.

I don't think he made it his home. I think he was abandoned which explains the toy and the old cushion. Probably he's been there a long time.

My bf had a good doggo (Happy) when he was younger that would go behind the houses through the fields & said you could see his path going from backdoor to backdoor looking for treats. 🤭

I think that's the way it is in Britain. There are laws against harming cats, and pretty much every cat is a community cat.
Cats themselves range wide and far and have quite a large territory. And they clash like Simon's cat and Jazz do.
I loved this so much! It's the exact story of my cat Flynn. He brought home a starving, abandoned cat who we immediately fed and adopted. They sleep together, play together, and eat together. It's the sweetest thing!
My 9 year old NEUTERED cat brought home a kitten that looked almost identical. To the untrained eye they would have been identical. I miss them both. Bobby was 12 1/2 when he died from diabetes complations. Trinity passed away 2 years later from Feline Leukemia. (It was rampant in our neighborhood and adopted a street cat who had it.) We lost all our cats because we took in a lovely stray. They were all well loved while they lived.

I adopted 2 cats from my friend and today we gave them their first ever bath. It was hard but so amazing and so worth it! Having those two have given me so much hope and filles me with so much love that id never give them up for anything in the world
I found a kitten that looked just liked Teddy. Named him Boogie. Sweetest cat I have ever had ❤ miss him every day. This episode definitely had me tearing up 🥲 so happy for Teddy 🥰

Same here on the tearing up. I have a cat named Teddy who was a kitten born in a feral colony in my neighborhood. He was 5 months old and was almost dead when I found him. This was about three years ago and each day he brings me such joy….I can’t imagine my life without him, I am so grateful to have him.❤ He is a DS Brown Tabby.

I love that simons cat has a big heart, he always gives in and in the end it’s always very sweet and this is no different. Adopting any animal is a very loving thing to do and no matter what animal you choose, they know you saved them and are giving them a home of love and protection. I’m in Canada and the spca is very important and does a lot for our pets and of course wildlife here gets a helping hand too. Thank you for sharing your crazy cats lives bc, I think it’s very easy to relate how similar most cats r to each other big and small.

My kids and I were so surprised and happy to see that you added in a bearded dragon!!!! My kids are allergic to cats and dogs so we’re unable to have them. We bought our kids a bearded dragon over the summer and we named him Rex. We love Rex so much so this made us super happy and excited to see you added in a beardie! We couldn’t stop laughing!!! Cats have much sympathy for each other, because I have 5 cats at home to care for, all because my cat(RIP) bought them home to save them.All of them were equally hurt and hungry.

The best Simon kat cartoon I've ever seen. It reveals the deep meaning of wealth, poverty, support and friendship of different categories of "people" in an optimistic way. In the end, the homeless man finds his home and thanks Simon for it, resulting in a strong friendship between them.

My boy Teddy turned up st my place 8 years ago starving like this ., he’d been dumped and left to starve . Took months to get him to stay as was semi feral. Now he’s my best mate

I loved this story so much. Simon's cat finds a dear friend and his dear friend finds a fur-ever home. Fantastic. All of the cats I have ever had came from the street. One was pregnant and had babies and we kept them too. I love cats.
