that fact that shige held ss that long and s even further 2 years ago with hdhr proves he was ahead of his time. i would argue he was the best player at that time
no he was not, at least not 2 years ago when Vaxei was back and going crazy. 4 years ago? Sure. 2 years ago he also got slammed in COE tourny by idke and bubble. You people seem to put a lot of emphasis on tourny performance when judging other players but apparently shige is an exception? He was hardly a tourny player at all, don't think he played any serious tourney in the past 6 years
