This really should've been a free update for those of us who already own GR6. Just payed my Komplete 14 update a couple of months ago, they could've at least included it in there :/
Same, I just upgrade to Komplete Collector’s Choice and it’s not fun to see this is not included
Similar boat.
Agreed, same for me. I am (was?) such an NI fan, but it just doesn’t feel like they are hungry anymore.
You are right
I agree 💯
Everyone who bought Guitar Rig 6 just feeling robbed right now. Too late NI, while you were missing all your promises with GR6, a single hobbyist released an open source neural amp modeler that sounds better and costs nothing. I genuinely thought Guitar Rig had been abandoned like Absynth or FM8 after you promised the GR5 looper would be coming back but it never came. Until now, as a paid upgrade...
What's this free amp called?
Yeah what's the name of free amp
@@YakobBellnam
We're so sorry for the mistake we made on our website when Guitar Rig 6 was launched. Please see a note from our Product Manager in the NI online community here: bit.ly/3ECcgAv
When it comes time for the 50% off sale on upgrades to Komplete 15, I'll have a chance to check it out.
the amp sim demos I see on youtube are always a high gain metal context, to the point I thought the amp sim market was dominated by bedroom metal players. This might be the first package demo I've heard that highlights cleaner tones and music.
It's amazing mixing tool to.
Getting all these stuff in one plugin windows and declutering daw is a life saver some times
Neural DSP has some Clean and Non Metal Options too.
Like the Archetype Cory Wong and Tone King. They both are great and really versatile Amp Sims. Way better than Guitar Rig or any other Amp Sim out there.
Guitar Rig is great for very coloured Guitar sounds. But once you have used Neural you will know what I mean.
@@rishabhbose29 I have guitar rig 6 and four neural dsp plugins
@@rishabhbose29Even Petrucci has awesome cleans. I haven’t tried other plugins cleans yet.
I Love NI but this should’ve been a free update for v6…
we (buyers of GR6) got promised a looper as a update, and the looper was even icluded in the list of components when i bought it. But it never came and now it comes an an 100$ update.. that feels very bad man :(
Is that a new S-series Komplete Kontrol Mk3 keyboard?!
I thought the same.
I just bought the S88…
Hope you at least got it on sale@@TheFoo_Fighter
it looks like it yeahhhhhhh
Where guys?

I say this as someone who wants to see NI succeed: *everything* in Guitar Rig needs to be updated to ICM versions for it to even be considered alongside its competition. Amp modeling has come a LONG way since the legacy models of Guitar Rig.
People will have spent well over $200 if they bought GR6 and now GR7. And they still only have a handful of ICM amps. Meanwhile vendors like Neural, IK, Line 6, and others have way more capable options for that kind of $.
Let alone Neural amp modeler that is free and has much better sounds.
Completely agree,
What make GR6 & GR7 it’s the interface compared to neuraldsp and others
BUT FOR THE SOUND NEURALDSP ARE WAY A HED
why would you want a capitalist company to succeed?
they're blocking new commenters that leave negative responses. So shameless
To be honest they've lost so many customers by having subpar amp sounds that it makes no difference. Literally almost no positive comments here. @@americano7427
I got the update and i really LOVE the signal view. For the things like the component tools (Crossover, Split Mix, Split M/S) it really helps to see the layout to better understand how things are working under the hood. I also think the new effects look cool.
That being said, i'm in agreement with most who said this should've been a free GR6 update. It's pretty much GR6 with a slightly (being generous with "slightly) changed GUI.
I have no complaints about GR7's amp modelling because i honestly cant tell the difference between most amps or amp/cab combos or subtle tone differences aside from effects, so the accuracy of them and whether they sound too digital doesnt concern me. I also have a Line 6 Helix and im probably wasting it's amp modelling potential because i have no clue about all that stuff lol. I just have it all for EFX.
have they finally improved the speed? The CPU load in GR6 was ridiculously high compared to 5.
I bought Komplete 14 Collector's Edition a few months ago. Honestly, this should've been a free update for users who've paid thousands of dollars over the years for NI software. Looks/sounds good nonetheless!
I upgraded to GR7 a few days ago and after messing around with the new effects, I am very pleased with the new components. As a bassplayer I really dig the Kolor effect, the maximiser, the Seattle fuzz, side view, … and of course The Loop Machine Pro.
is it just me or is there a s61 mk III hinted? the layout looks different, or its just some random thing but who knows ...
I refuse to pay for the upgrade from V6, unless NI provides the roadmap for ICM updates for the next few months, at least. I paid the upgrade from 5 to 6 and I made a mistake believing you at the time there would be lots more ICM modules for V6 coming. And now the story repeats itself. You switch to V7, you want more money again, but there is no guarantee the same thing won't happen. I refuse to upgrade blind.
It's a lot for the upgrade as well 100 dollars? They are nuts 🔩🥜
There are so many good guitar plugins available. Literally the world moved on to another universe while they were updating Guitar Rig from 5 to 6. I’ve come to the conclusion Guitar Rig is a guitar plugin for people who don’t play guitar.
Agreed. Guitar rig was left to languish for many years, then all of a sudden we get several new versions in quick succession. I think I'll I'll stick with Bias FX for guitar VST for now thanks. I thought V6 sounded better than previous versions, but still behind the curve in terms of usable presets.
I don't think you need to upgrade. I use the HighWhite amp almost exclusively for most of what I need. And their ICM models (the Firebreather and whatever the other one is called) are there if you need more. How many hardware amps could you use at any one time or during any one project anyway? Software offers a lot of options but really, I don't think it is necessary. You can get so many tonal options and the range is immense with just one amp and bunch of effects.
Agree. I wish I didn't have to write this, but having bought GR6 Pro in last Nov 30, I feel extremely disrespected by NI to have to spend another US$99 for a mere update. No launch discount for owners, no consideration for license ownership period... It's beautiful no doubt, but what else? I thought I'd get a number of new amps and cabinets as regular ICM updates (at least for existing components), but nothing came. There are tons of loopers and lo-fi effects out there... so what's really new? And... maybe it's just me, TH-U, Amplitube and Neural DSP provide better sounds so easily. Something happens with GR that I can't quite get the sound I want from it. A real shame... I mean, we all want to keep loving NI, right? C'mon you b@sterds, don't F**K this up now! The same goes to your corp buddies in Izotope, by the way...
It would be perfect If you made multi fx pedal something like Quad Cortex. Of course with these colourful pedal/amp icons.
Guitar Rig 7 Pro is a terrific spectrum of multi-FX, and despite the name, it's wonderful for non-guitar sounds! Also, Eddie_NI is an awesome representative on the forums, explaining and helping with extremely clear instructions, and he gives great help and coordinates with the team. BIG UP!!!
I hope the LFO Random can get SMOOTHING in a not-so-distant update... ;D
did a see a new Komplete Kontrol keyboard? wahooooooooooooo yeahhhhhhh
Good catch
This looked so great I finally pulled the trigger on upgrading to komplete ultimate 14! … silly me ☹️
Did you guys see the Keyboard in the Intro? Its not the MK1 or MK2 but something new!!! Mk3!!! On the one hand its exviting but on the other it looks way to similar to the MK2. I really hoped for Sliders and drumpads :'(
Random question. I liked the effect of 3d tiltling the screen recording on this video. Does anyone know that name of this effect?
Not surprised that this is another $100 for GR6 users. This is really GR6.5 with many features buyers of GR6 were promised. I'd rather use the stock amps in my DAW than pay for empty promises again.
I have guitar rig 5. I’m happy with it. But I do like this version. Thanks 🙏 for sharing it
Forget Guitar Rig Pro 7.. did you all see the new Kontrol S MK3 midi keyboard 😍
Yep ! ;)
Do I have the option to control the volume of individual layers within the looper
Hi , I bought it and it works but I can’t see the preset effect on the right side (in different colors) . I guess I missed some step when I install ., pls adv thx
They are going to have Geoff Manchester just do all the voice overs and tutorials... brilliant! I see a hint of the new S MK3 there... hmm
Wink wink
The man, the myth, the Manchester.
@@MrVuvu 😅😂
Komplete kontrol mk3 all up in the video lol
0:16 :Skk Mk3 coming❤️
Sounds awesome! ❤
definelly
Freaking LOVE the SuperFast 100 amp. Killer upgrade for my GTR Rig 6....really love the new layout and sounds....why ever get another amp plugin....everything you need is there.
Why guitar rig amp/cabs/pedals distortions make so much noise when crank up gain/volume ?
ps- I am using ibanez humbucker. Other plugins makes 1:10th noise as compair to Guitar rig amps/pedals/cabs.
I need to try a demo of this before I decide to not pull the trigger, but the competition has gotten SO good lately, I don't think this stacks up. 😢 These tones sound really digital but are expected to compete with the Neural DSPs of the world, and there's no contest. NI, I love your products, but I feel like this one has taken a back seat for a while now. Love the IR loader and the partners you have with you now, but it's still a luke warm release. I'll give it a fair shake, but I guess I'm just bummed. 😞
Funny, but I have been excited about many Neural releases and always find that the mids are an uncontrollable squishy digital mess that's impossible to clean up. For metal rhythm I find STL's Tonality series in a whole different league, and plenty of free plugs superior to Neural. For leads though, despite trying absolutely everything, nothing ever came close to the Plexi model in Guitar Rig. I always find flaws or something unnatural that just isn't the case wih the PLEX. This release has a lot interesting additions so I will definitely upgrade.
Well if you get guitar rig pro 7 within a bundle (izotope mps6 or later the k15 i guess) its a nice adition...rig 7 has some really nice guitar sounds and its also a cool mutieffect vst for all sorts of effects...
But as an amp simulation when you use neural plugins or even tomehub subscription it has not a single chance for competion...
@@poulwinther The STL stuff IS great! And, I agree, some of the Neural stuff can be turds, but I predominantly use the Mesa and the Soldano plugs, which, IMHO, I think sound rad! Although, that new Mike Stringer plug from MixWave has become my new go to! I don't even like his band, but those tones are a chef's kiss! I guess all in all, I just wish NI would step up to the plate in the guitar realm. But, like I said previously, I want to give it a fair shake before I'm 100% "naw". 🤷♂ We'll see!
xD
Ah is that the mk3 keyboard I see? 🧐
Thought the same thing
Yup it is
Nice!
will they bring back rig kontrol foot pedal please?
Maybe they fixed the UI missing issue, I keep seeing on my GR 6!
Cool!
It comes with Izotope Music Production Suite 6 - alone with 6 full Izotope flagship apps, Neoverb, VocalSynth and 14 other bits. By far the best value for acquiring Guitar Rig 7 Pro.
I caught that new Komplete Kontrol tho…🧐
At 19 seconds new mk3 controller
I spent the hundred bucks on the upgrade, but that's the last time until I see all and only proper ICMs
Well I feel ripped off.
Shame on me for owning GR5 and then not long after GR6 comes out, shame on me again for biting the upgrade but I felt it was a significant update.
Now GR7 with all these neat little feature but the upgrade cost $99 with minimal differences, I just absolutely feel like I'll just wait 10 years for GR17 because at this rate.... might as well wait till it's worth the money..
It has loop machine!! Very nice! I have only one question, can you select trigger key for the looper to start/stop? In GR5 you could, and transform your keyboard into a loop pedal by selecting spacebar as trigger key.
you can add a midi control, but i cant set spacebar
I have Guitar Lick 6 Por. I'm thinking about purchasing Guitar Rig 7 Por, but I also own the Guitar Rig 6 Por version and would like to continue using it. Is it possible to own both at the same time? :)
Yes, you get to keep the previous version you owned
@@SnazzieTVthank you I already bought them and now own both. :)
I love guitar rig, for everything accept guitars 😄🤷♂️ Let's be honest, you can buy a lunchbox valve amp for not a whole lot more than this plugin, and that will give you infinitely better raw guitar tone than anything demoed in this video.
yes!!
Nice to see 3 Sigma in the release, but I bought their guitar IRs à la carte. Why only cabinet loaders???
How about some mention in the manual or video tutorials how to get good acoustic sounds. 3 Sigma has sound demos but a bewildering matrix of IRs. I’ve got something convincing using the reverb IR loader but know it could be much better if I knew what I was doing.
And, why make MIDI PC and CC so obtuse? Good user interfaces are intuitive, or at the least, discoverable.
When are NI going to make a guitar pedal? seems like a logical move for them. They already have experience in manufacturing hardware and porting software to standalone hardware like the Maschine+
Just makes sense, especially if the pedal came with Guitar Rig 7 and you could create patches on your PC to transfer to the hardware.
They actually used to have a pedal. Was called the Rig Kontrol. No idea why they discontinued it.
@@nox4298 I remember that, think it was a midi controller though? I mean something more like the Line 6 Helix or Quad Cortex
I actually bought a midi controller used for this purpose and can't figure out how to use it.
I use the Behringer FCB1010, I think it is called, and it took me a little while to read the manual but it works excellently for MIDI learn.
Please, no more hardware. My laptop fits nicely in my gig bag! Software is not burdened with escalating Bills of Materials, fabrication, and assembly expenses!
what is the difference between the PRO and LE versions?
Hi! You can find a comparison chart here: bit.ly/3tLRMTy
at 1:11 am i the only one who heard Aviations "Safehouse" main riff here? lol at 7:16 "Legend"
thank god a looper
Still haven't fixed the restriction of only one instance allowed otherwise you can't save presets..
Man this is catchy
These sound Amazing 😍😍😍 Wow. That super fast 500
i have BIAS FX2 and i am saving money for trip to japan. should i buy this?
no,unless u can get mps6 bundle less than 50 dollars.
no. save money for your trip to Japan. things like that can't be replaced.
@@prodbyselase yeah, and Bias FX is ok for me although it could be better.
I just can't bring myself to upgrade. I upgraded just under two years ago to GR6 and didn't get on with it at all, a lot of it was just a step backwards. I ended up moving - for now - to Amplitube 5.
thanks for making me buy guitar rig 7 literally 13 days after I bought guitar rig 6. no, a $100 'upgrade' seems lousy
I bought Guitar Rig 4 close to release and upgraded to 5. Still use it. The new clean amp in 6 sounded good but I found out that all the legacy amps were not updated. I would only ever upgrade if GR updated all amps to new engine, that's all that really matters. I couldn't care about these gimmick add--ons. And the buyers of 6 got ripped off with no looper. Bad business practice right there
Monster! 😮
please! make a REALLY USEFUL upgrade : get RIG KONTROL fully supported and usable with Guitar Rig 6
So is this IR or modeling?
This looks really pretty and fun to use, but in a world where neural dsp, tonex and other companies exist, the amp sims in guitar rig are close to unusable.
So please NI: instead of a V7 wich should have been a free V6 update, use your resources to improve basic amp tones before anything else. I want to use this. But right now I just can‘t…
This seems like marginal difference for a version incrementing update... I really love guitar rig but I wish the amp sims sounded better :(
New keys spoiled?)
I own the update and it’s not enough to warrant it. Also a slight bugbear, I was really looking forward to the skreamer deluxe but it’s so deeply lacklustre as a tube screamer, just doesn’t go hard, it’s weak sauce
Too bad this isn't part of KK14. I would have loved the small upgrade otherwise.
bravo NI
Guitar Rig 7 crashes both as a standalone app and as a plugin on every daw, on Mac OS 13.5. Please re-release or patch quickly.
No it doesn't. Your problem...
I know,Guitar rig 7 pro becomes a synth software.
guitar rig has been awful since launch. Buggy and lags my hi spec laptop. Hope they fix this.
but does it sound like real amps?
No
Do you sound like a real guitarist?
🖤
Jetzt fehlt nur noch ein ordentliches langlebiges Rig Kontrol. Ohne nützt es weniger.
Man. I just splurged on Collector's... now, this.
pfft.
I have it as well but the upgrade to this is 100 bucks? Not worth it imo
New options and effects are nice, but it still sounds pretty fake to my ears compared to what,S on the market of amp sims...
Make a multi effects pedal out of it and price it right.
Nah bro
Definitely not going to upgrade. When I bought the GR6 three years ago it was stated that it would be gradually updated with new amps and effects. In the end they added no amps (Firebreather? That's not even funny) and some useless effects from other NI products. Now the same GR6 comes out with minor updates, but at number 7 with an offer to upgrade for $99. NO THANKS. I'll probably even delete GR6 since it doesn't seem to make sense anymore
I've just uninstalled GR6. Couldn't get good clean sounds out of it, despite reading the manual and fiddling with all the settings. Gone back to BIAS-FX2. ;)
The price of an upgrade from GR6 to GR7 is disgusting for such a small few extras.
A whole 32 months after Guiter Rig 6 was released?! This is NI doing what they do best, cash grabs. How about you revive Absynth? Why after buying iZotope you killed Iris and Breaktweaker? Why not make them part of NI catalog if you want to split your business between beat making and mixing/mastering? Why X1 mk3 is basically X1 mk1 but with 5 tiny screens and one less button? Why all that negative space with new Komplete Kontrol? Why not add faders at least? Like I know why you wouldnt add pads like novation and Arturia... to sell Maschine. Go away NI, just go away.
Amplitube is better in every way
should be a free upgrade for gr6 users....isnt that what they kinda led us to believe on their site.....ripoff ripoff ripoff....sad
They did. Stating something like 'many new ICM amp models to come in future'.
Seattle fuzz bwhahaha
what is this
@Native Instruments - horrible service - bought this 3 days ago and still not have received a download link in native access yet.
I used to use nothing but Guitar Rig for years but this won’t make me sell any axe fx. It just doesn’t have feel.
Still cant shred a guitar through a computer optimally.
The Plexi model really does. I don't know how it can be so superior to everything in GR but it really is. GR7 at least have a lot of interesting new effects and stuff.
Yea, the plexi model is one of the best out there, it depends whats you re after though, i found for Blackmore style sounds is one of the best if not the best
😂
Not for me.
meh
No upgrade option from 6? Pass and won't be purchasing anymore.
Disappointed. Literally the same thing as GR6 but with some lame lofi effects that don’t even sound as good as the ones you can find for free, and a looper which any DAW can do anyway. I’m done with native instruments
Sorry, but I won't buy it anymore! Reason: As long as NI doesn't finally bring a suitable Guitar Rig Kontrol foot controller onto the market again that is tailored to the software, as a guitarist I feel like I've been ripped off, and I won't give NI any more money so that they take the money from us guitarists for the development of hardware for keyboard players and ignoring us guitarists for years. I'm out.
Sounds pretty terrible all around. Wow.
