Thank you so much! I looked so long for a video with these exact instructions!
I'm so glad it was helpful 💕
Dee thank you so much for taking the time to make these videos and share your skills, you are a true star 👍 I have added myself to the wait list.
Thank you so much. I appreciate you.
So excited that I found you! Sounds like we are ‘old school’ PS junkies together 😊 what type of computer or operating system are you using?
🙌🏽 I use Mac OS Sonoma v14
I like when you are smiling.
Thank you for this content. 🙏
Awe thank you 🥰
yessss I want to know how to organize all my stuff just like what you mentioned…it’s just me doing everything.
I am really enjoying your videos. I have so many ideas in my head right now, and I’m just starting out. I would love to be a part of your pilot project waitlist.
Thank you so much, you should check out my workshop I'm starting help others now privately, the workshop is free and on-demand you can watch privately at any time deewillis.com/1daysignup
First of all, thank you very much for preparing these videos. You help us a lot. I request you to publish a video on how to prepare a Seamless pattern. After obtaining the images in Midjourney, I add a pattern in Photoshop, make 12x12 inches 300 DPI and save the image, but when I repeat the image, the image is not seamless. I just couldn't do this. Can you make a full video on this topic?
No problem thank you for watching. I’ll make that video for you asap 🙌🏽
I have created the video for you th-cam.com/video/S6gl0Mj9Nu8/w-d-xo.html I hope this helps 💕
@@deewillis I watch all your videos carefully, they are very useful to us. I thank you very sincerely for your efforts.
Thank you for this. So well explained. New sub here! ❤
Thank you so much 💕
Thanks dear. I love Photoshop too. 🤗
You're welcome 😊

Thank you 💕
Hello Dee, I am so happy to find your video's, thank you for making it clear and easy to follow, you did mention about checking the DPI on the system, after I uploaded the image from photoshop it didn't say 300dpi but 32 how do i change this, I use Windows 11. (hope this makes sense)
It shouldn't be in a 32 dpi. I've never seen psd make it that small, sometimes 72dpi because you have it set like that. Are you dropping the image back into photoshop to check or are you just checking the "Get info" on mac or "Properties" on windows to see the dpi? Since photoshop made some changes, do not export anymore. Choose "Save As" and then change the file type from Photoshop to PNG. Export now strips the metadata from the photoshop file and takes away the dpi now. You have to "Save As" then change the file type. I'll do a video on it.
@deewillis thank you for the informative video. I cannot explain how happy I was to come across this down to earth, simple explanation without all the hogwash involved. I just cannot figure out show to attach the link to the design to upload it to etsy. Any video explanation on that?
Hey thank you I try. No I don’t have an explanation video on that because you don’t link the design directly Etsy. You copy them into a zip folder on your computer and just upload the zip file once you get down to that section of the product listing inside of Etsy.
i love love ur accent , the black accent ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
lol, why thank you 😂 I never heard that one before. I guess I could have an accent. 💕

Been watching videos on how to do this for 2 days and can't find a free way of removing the background but keeping the DPI as all the background removers want money to keep the quality and I don't have Photoshop, you are the first person in all the videos that have mentioned the need for a transparent background at all and seems to know what they are talking about! If you find a free way to do it please can you upload a video.
Thanks for watching. To be completely honest I have no free resources that will give the quality I showed here in the video. To get the quality you seek I don't believe their is a free version out there to not only give you a clean and quality product, but to also produce it at a professional resolution (300dpi/ppi). Photoshop alone is about $19/mo, but if you're producing quality clipart pieces I'm sure it'll pay for itself. 😊💕
@@deewillis I believe if you have children of school age in the primary school you can get the photoshop for half price for the year, hope this helps
@@shauricelarmie3472 Thanks love but my children are all grown now with children, lol.
Fantastic
Thanks ❤
Thanks for the video. Did you use PNG-8 or PNG-24?
Can I use PNG-24 if I wanna sell on Etsy?
The PNG doesn’t really matter just make sure it’s 300 Dpi that is what matters for print quality graphics.
I have photoshop on my iPad can I do all you do there or do I need to buy a laptop for that ?
You’ll need a laptop or computer. The app doesn’t do as much and the power behind what’s needed you’ll need an actual processor that can handle it.
I just found your channel and I'm so so grateful. I'm trying to build my Etsy shop for POD but I've been muddling along trying to create my own clipart to be unique. My friend is a big proponent of Canva Pro but I just can't get used to it and like you said, the quality isn't thhrre. I have been hopping software just trying to find a program that does everything I want. I unfortunately discovered Photoshop before I fou d your channel. Hope you forgive me for that. I do have my old school email still so I was able to get the whole education package. So I've got the software and I know it does what I wanted to do but I'm not really sure how to use it. I bought a book but trying to get the book to understand what I needed to do it's not working. I'm just not software savvy and I don't always understand what things are called and that is a lot of the problem. This is getting really long winded anyway you have gained me as a loyal subscriber of your channel. I plan to start at your very first video and work my way towards the current video. I have a different challenge of my own. For the next 30 days my goal is to place two listings per day on my Etsy store. I really appreciate your content and so much for doing it what you're doing sharing your knowledge.
OMG 🥰 this has to be the nicest thing anyone has said to me. You’re so welcome. I just started getting back into TH-cam and I’m so glad to hear that this was helpful to you. Photoshop takes some getting used to but if you have canva pro and photoshop everything will work out. I use photoshop for cleaning up my Clipart and saving it for print quality but I use Canva for mock-ups because it’s quicker that using photoshop and smart objects. Which I talk about in my Bulk Mock-ups video. But sure feel free to watch any video you feel might help you and if you have any suggestions please let me know. I do videos for my subscribers if they want to know how to do something and if I know how to do it I show them. 💕 Thank you so much for you kind words they do encourage me to keep going and keep helping however I can.
There is nothing wrong with the quality of graphics made in Canva. I have printed dozens of personal shirts with graphics made in canva, and sold several thousand shirts and sweatshirts with graphics made in Canva with rave reviews from customers. (not talking about AI graphics, but designs made in Canva).
Also canva's background remover is far superior to photoshop's.
I do use photoshop for other functionalities.
@@RailinX I agree to disagree. If that works for you... excellent. However, if you take a graphic from Canva and put that graphic into a graphics design software I can guarantee you that it is NOT 300 dpi. Also, I don't believe the background removal tool in Canva is superior to Photoshop, again that's your opinion and opinions are subjective and I respect that. I would have rather you said something like Kittl, which does allow you to export graphics at 300dpi I believe that would have made for a better agreement. However, I personally prefer Photoshop, but to each their own :)
@@deewillis I use all 3 of them, each has their strengths!
I wish there was one program that had the functionality I love in PS, Canva and Kittl but guess I’ll keep using all 3.
@@RailinX I understand. You got to use what you are comfortable with. 💕
Heey Dee I filled all the steps but when I reopened the final it’s showing as 762 dpi😅 I know you said sometimes people have their resolution on PS set low, so I’m guessing that’s the reason it’s showing 762, but in reality is it really 300dpi despite what it’s showing?
Also is there a way to change the PS setting so that it always shows the proper dpi when opening?
Thanks for the comment. You’ll need to go into your settings under preferences. Also 762 dpi is higher than 300dpi which is fine. You know your image is large enough for print. If that’s what you’re making the graphic for.
Is this png created in photoshop also good for sublimation? can I use 'sublimation' as keyword on my etsy listing? I see a bunch of them that are selling png with keyword sublimation.
Yes, the PNGs are created in Photoshop or your design editor. So far as your Etsy keywords you should be doing research around that. You can use whatever keywords you like and feel that you can rank for in Etsy search based on your research. I hope this helps 💕
I personally love designing. It's what I do for a hobby and I put my designs on Etsy for others to use in their projects. What do you enjoy doing as a hobby? I have this one in the line up coming soon
@deewillis question can you create art in Canva and download in PNG format with transparent background, and then come to photoshop and change to 300 DPI. Would this be suitable for Print on Demand Clothing?
Great question. Yes you can. Create the photoshop 300DPI template first 1500x1500 make sure it's set for 300dpi. Then create your graphics in Canva. Download the PNGs and just drop into the Photoshop template it should size, then EXPORT as a PNG, don't just save, use the export in photoshop, and you should be good. Now the graphic itself should be in 300dpi. Or you can save the graphic in Canva as a PDF, then it will automatically save in 300 DPI as a PDF and then turn into PNG in Photoshop. Try both ways and see which one works best for you 🌹
@@deewillis Thank you so much this was very helpful!
@@deewillis sorry one more question I've heard that for Print on Demand clothing your graphics have to be CMYK color mode is this true or is RGB okay as well as long as it is 300 DPI?
@@cecilialopez1772 You can use RGB. Using CMYK was years ago. Now a days you can submit your graphics in RGB and you will be fine. Not unless you have a printer who specifically asked you to submit to them in CMYK. But if you're using any modern day print on demand providers such as Printify or Printful, RGB is fine.
@@cecilialopez1772 You're welcome
"I hope like crazy you are not downloading from midjourney and just going to canva and removing background and downloading it and selling it because that is not cool. That is not quality" So Right!!!! it comes out horrible!
Thank you so much! Everybody says remove background in canva or mydesigns but they look horrible. Nobody teaches us how to make them tidy for sellers! Love you thank you!
one question, on midjourney after you upscale it, I notice an option it says "upscale (x4)" is it better to upscale the image in photoshop rather midjourney? for resolution, or quality? or is it okay to upscale on midjourney to x4 and then resize in photoshop?
it's funny you mention this because if I do an ar of 2:3 I get the upscale x4 option, but if I upscale a regular square in midjourney the upscale x4 option doesn't appear, lol. Me personally the upscale x4 takes a long time and I have pretty good internet speeds I actually have the highest a person can get, and it still took a minute when I tried it. I believe that would be a personal thing, it's up to you and what want to do, but for me. I think the processing time just isn't worth it for my case uses. I'll continuing doing it the way I do it, honestly.
Also, I compared two of my photos from just the regular upscale vs the x4 upscale and the x4 upscale blurs or takes away some of the details I like in my graphics.
Thank you so much for the reply and info!@@deewillis
Oh wow. I appreciate the info, good to know. thank you so much.@@deewillis
@@RickSanchez-1943 You're welcome 💕
Hi Dee! I have been using Topaz AI Upscaler for Midjourney images/clip art, is this not necessary since I am also using photoshop?
I don’t think so because I only use photoshop and nothing else and never had complaints or seen quality issues.
@@deewillis Thank you Dee :)
@@deniseteague8203you’re welcome
Can I ask you if I setup my Canva page as 18x24 portrait then start to type out my font, how do I make sure that the font is large enough so that it is in comparison to the actual size of the whole image and not too small? I'm done with the image however I'm uncertain if I have it right. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Great question. Fonts are vector graphics. Long as you make it look correct on you original design, it will scale in the same proportion. There is no right or wrong font size. If it looks too small on the original canvas, it will be too small period. Make it look exactly like you want it to appear and everything should work out just fine. I hope that helps 💕
Thank you so much@@deewillis yes this helps alot!

It takes a lot longer than this to properly clean the image
It could. Just depends on the image that you’re cleaning up.
