Megatron in Age of Extinction is my favourite. He looks like he means business. No time for games. Kinda like how Lockdown himself is just super cold and calculated. Megatron's appearance communicated the same.

Ngl I really liked the 1st transformers Megatron design, it was intimidating which is what Megatron is supposed to be in this film so it fit especially with that voice he had
As much as I like Frank Welker, I LOVE Hugo Weaving! Hugo was so much better for the role than Frank in my opinion because he hit it just right. He was loud when he was supposed to be loud, and he was soft when he was supposed to be soft, and that is what made his version of Megatron so frightening and compelling. You never really knew what he was going to do in certain moments.

TF1 was a bit bland but his voice, his *VOICE* is badass and menacing, and there's TF Rotf a badass design as well but the only thing I don't like about it is that he has a scrawny little left arm, it's just there and doesn't do anything to his benefit, and then TF TLK design and my god that is out of words of a design much badass than anything, second only TFP Megatron.

i love the tfp Megatron design and his personality is like a whole different character. just love his maniacal laughter.
I dont think anything can beat the tfp design it is just so beautifully designed in all the right places and what makes it better is the mechanical noises his body makes.
I love TFP's Megs because it combines the scary Bayverse cybertronian aesthetic with the G1 structure, but also because he is voiced by Frank Welker himself.

I love it when they make the design modern and cool while sticking to the classic look, something that people don't notice is that TLK Megatron has the classic G1 head shape when he has the mask on

In the Transformers films, Megatron actually looks like a sadistic mechanical alien being, which is what he's suppose to be. The concept art for these films are amazing, and the vfx team was above their time
I feel like RotF and TLK did the designs best. ‘07 didn’t really hit home for me, but I will admit that I do like the DotM design.
I like better the TLK design, that design gives me the vibes that he really was like a warrior you know? Like if I saw him in this design without nothing else for context and you told me he was a warrior on the gladiatorial pits I would totally buy it without question.
Besides his battle mask is also cool AF

With that taking in consideration, The original transformers trilogy, Megatron design does just that. Him chasing Sam in that building at the end of transformers one was a legit horrifying. Now the Transformers movies lacks the vibe of what the Deceptikons are supposed to be
For me, most Bay-former designs start looking like piles of walking junk.
I think transformers 1 and 2 did a great job at showing what cybertronian technology would look like if brought to earth. Megatron is literally an alien tank and flight mode. So he has to have some type of ancient infrastructure
The Bayverse Megatrons always look fire.
