Jamie is an honest man so you no your buying a good wrecker if he says it's still good. He wouldn't steer you in the wrong direction. I've had the opportunity of meeting him a few times in Alberta in the Fort all around good people and great companie
This gentleman Jamie is honest and true with what he says He wouldn't lie about something he is passionate about this old truck yes its very old and its seen better days but at least he has made the effort to make the changes necessary for the wellbeing of the vehicle This vehicle yes seen plenty of days but in my opinion their is still life left in her weatherits for showing or agricultural work the world is its oyster
If you look at the Google Street View you'd see an interesting truck that I think should have its own video. It doesn't seem to be part of Jamies fleet, but it sure looks like it's right up in the right category of vehicles to be featured anyway.
Jamie I hope to see more videos like this, here in the US it seems challenging to find HTH on tv and as a die hard fan it's a let down. Stay safe and hope to see so much more.
Jamie your Pete and DTU that’s in the background came down to my tow yard a few months back to tow a wrecked rig back up there. It’s a very beautiful truck!
If you do a little research you'll find that this is way over priced. The condition of this truck is not the best but what's worse is the engine in it. They were great back in the day but they suck now. I looked for less than a minute and found 15 trucks that are better for a lot less
Nice ex Canadian kenworth LW wrecker and the logging company can always use that as its own mountain wrecker that can always come in handy for anything
Would love to see some of the new trucks being built, I always said I'd love to come out there and work for a winter doing this, it looks like it would be a cool experience. I was always interested in big trucks, I recently got into driving trucks and have really developed a fascination with them now
How old are you?? I did it full time 18-30 and then part time 26 more years as my “Hobby” if your in shape go for it. Pay is getting better, much better benefits. A lot of guys aren’t on call anymore.
should have kept the general instead of getting that, at least the general had a reliable and heavier backend and a more spacious cab, they both have leaky old detroits but the general had more power, both their frames were probably in similar condition, and once you were done with it you can keep or sell the 1801 and sell the truck with the backend or scrap the truck.
Just watching some old episodes of HTH... Thank goodness you downsized Jamie... Some of your old crew were just complete goofs 😐 You made the right choice, and glad to see you are doing well! 😃👍
Never understood why he got rid of the 'Tator and built older trucks. I'd sell it all including the shop and keep the Rotator, since it has the largest range of work it can do, it could be earning income all day every day,and yeah, the operating expenses would be more than for a smaller truck, but setting the income according to the work required would ensure the bills get paid. Just saying there's nothing wrong with going to a job OVER equipped. Not so true of going to a job and having to call in competitors to do work you're not capable of doing.
Hi Jamie, I've just watched a video and the General was in it for a couple of minutes, the video was 1957 Haynes truck when he went to collect it. Missing the show are you still making them?
@@hounddogjakegaming From what I understand that the new Mack wrecker started on fire . The only thing that I know is that it was totally burned up on the side of the road. Sorry I didn't know anything else.
Wait, I thought you were keeping the older trucks? That are paid off, so if you have to sell a newer truck as you have before. You can continue operating your business. And yes I heard the part about getting new wreck units on older trucks. I am just wondering who you would have to sell anyway right now? Since you have stated in the past, that you wish you had not sold a particular unit. Besides if this equipment is paid for, why not just hold onto it? Since you may need it down the road again.
I never understood the numbering system that JD uses. Does this one mean that he's had 84 tow trucks before this one... or does this one get the 85 designation simply because of the year?

@@taylorakins5230 Sure you can afford that?! 😐
Jamie Davis towing one of my favorite TH-camrs Ron Pratt said he needs like a rotator.
I hope there’s going to be more episodes of Highway though hell. And good luck selling that beast 🍻👍🏻

Love it... I’d like to see a Video on a hypothetical wreck recovery, on a price and time line ...
Jami honestly your perfect for rebuilding and selling classic wreckers. Do enough of them and U.S. and Canada and your right there next to jerr Dan
These guys live in the most beautiful part of this planet. I've always wanted to visit there since I was a kid and seen it in the Rambo movie.
I like when stuff isn't covered up for sale..is what it is.
If he says it'll work I believe him
Need to hear that Detroit bark!!
Good to see you Jamie. You look great!
Good old girl still has a lot of recoveries left in her
That is an absolute steal at that price! Great looking truck!

125K for a 40 year old truck…………. is a steal? I bet you no bank on the planet will touch this thing. Better have CASH.
@@nitemare18 That truck was probably like 60K brand new back in 85.
I have learned to never trust a car salesman or a wrecker ownner.....
I haven't seen your face in a while! It's nice seeing you again!
For those that know the old 10 series
Tough tough beds
They lift 50000lbs coil all day long

I saw it a a shop in kamloops area getting re done

Wayne Makowski's old wrecker. Definitely not the polished black paint and chrome of the Nanoose Bay Towing days.
A new pickup truck is that! Cheers Jamie!
125,000 Canadian is only approximately $93k US, that’s definitely not outrageous.
I wish used car salesmen were as honest as this. Best of luck with the sale.
Pretty optimistic. I was thinking perhaps the price was a typo, as in having 1 too many digits.
Nice old truck. Enjoy the videos. Keep them coming
I hope to see more Highway thru hell, it's a good show to watch
Rust jacking, rust panels and 8V71 for $125K, really?
Jamie I was down at the wrecker museum in Chattanooga a couple weeks ago they said they are looking forward to seeing you again.
I loved the General and MIGHTY MO. You will never find trucks like that
Hey, great to see ya Jamie! Long time fan....
Jamie Davis did you ever get Bruce's 750 homes done??
How many gallons of fuel per mile?
Hhhh😂😅😂
If anyone knows the who and where of truck values it is Jimie. Been watching for years good luck
Did it ever sell???
Always wanted to start my own towing company but I am not rich. Maybe someday. Good luck.
is your yard in Hope on Othello RD out by the hospital....? absolutely love the program & the content....
That cabover Ken in the background made my heart flutter... need a walk around video on that ole boy.
What’s gonna replace the Mack
Not sure pricing in Canada but that truck wouldn’t be worth 40 down on the East Coast
looks like a JF Logging truck in the background!
Looking for a Ferguson , there so unreliable and undependable but I had one for yrs and just got use to it.so it's not easy to change
thank you
Should sold it to big John while it was in Golden . Hey you said Quesnel. That's where I'm at . Keep the rubber on the road Jimmy tom
I can make use of it in my small rez but I just don't have the money for it Jamie awesome truck tho
Lol you could buy a newer wrecker that 1985 for 125k in the states. Canada is wild lol
Wish you would have started it, 8v71 is pure music.

What is going on with the yellow Kenworth cabover?
What's the deal with the k100 in the background
So how many trucks does Jamie have left? And why was the general sold?
Not a very good salesman without firing up the Detroit. Assume $125 is Cdn? Does it not have to pass emission test or is it considered antique?
I remember the Netflix series great stuff bs it ended
Are you doing anymore series for tv in the future or not
It’s more brown then blue… 125k seems a lil high, ya think?
Have you completed Bruce's truck yet?
