Great video David. One quick question, did you have to use the HDMI out to send the video output signal to your streaming software or was this doable straight out of the USB 3.0 cable connected to your computer. Thank you!
David, great video! Can you explain how I would use my iphone as one of my live cameras and to get the resolution correct? Also getting the camera to fit the screen and be used in landscape mode?
I have this video switcher. I have 3 cameras with SD cards and a computer. I also have my audio in from a Zoom H8 to the switcher for my microphone. Want I am unsure of is the following. 1) do I have to hit record on all the cameras first, and then toggle to each camera as I use them? 2) when I hit the toggle for the computer, (as I want to record my screen), how is my computer being recorded? Where is the recording at? 3) once I am done recording, how do I get all the various recordings as well as the audio recording into one file to send to someone for post production?
Question 1 no the camera just has to be on. Q2 you need recording software like ecamm Q3 the recording software will put the recordings into a folder that you choose
Hi David, do you know if can auto switch camera ? enjoyed your demo video! or do your know of a product that does? this is for when am filming my and away from the unit.
I just got mine today, improvements are great! As far as fan noise, I can turn it off, but I think that would be a mistake. My L1 worked well, but no fan, and it got very hot. Seems like the components would fry eventually. It also has an on/off switch (for power) , strangely they didn’t put one on the L1. Overall, just looks and feels more professional. I haven’t downloaded the software, am using the controls on the L2 only. Again, much better than the L1, but the user manual could be a bit clearer.
Nice review!! Can I use the hdmi output on the L2 and feed it into my Yolobox and can I connect the USB 3 output from the L2 to my laptop to record the stream?

Is it possible to crop one of the video sources?

I work at a college and we are trying to install a cam in the back of the classroom and one in the front. Would this work well for that?
It depends how far away both cameras will be I’d they are far apart you will need fiber optic hdmi cables
@@DavidOastler understood. And there is no reason the L2 can't work with fiber HDMI, right?
Can I use it with my audio interface with 4 mics? And where it recording video fils in my macbook or in local device memory or in sd card?
Yes that should work
Hi, Is the unit have built-in video recorder?
No it just streams
@@DavidOastler thanks a lot.
I CANNOT GET ANY SOUND OUT OF THE HEADPHONE JACK. I HAVE IT COMING IN FROM MY ZOOM PODTRAK P8
How does it compare to the Sprolink NeoLIVE Video Switcher?
I’ve not used that one
Nice review!!
Can I use the hdmi output on the L2 and feed it into my Yolobox and can I connect the USB 3 output from the L2 to my laptop to record the stream?
You should be able to connect the output but I’m not sure about the usb.
So would you recommend it over the ATEM MINi?
I think you need both Keith for the audio features and the delay of the ATEM
Can I use my Android phone or tablet to switch source? Thanks!
I’m not sure I use an iphone
How to connect this to our computer. Through IP?, If we connect through IP address.... What is the user name and password
You should start a podcast with me David, you have the audio for it, (hehe)
Can the L2 push the single or all channel files to a SSD similar to the ATEM mini ISO?
Hi there is no way to record
I can use my iPhone with it to do streaming
Take my Panda money when I become rich again, I need a monitor myself again.
