Driving the Col de l'Iseran, France

- The Col de l'Iseran is one of the longer passes in the French Alps, but well worth the ride! We start in Séez, and finish in Lanslevillard. The way leads through various small villages until Val-d'Isère, after which there's nothing more than nature and great views.
If you want to continue driving mountain passes after the Col de l'Iseran, you could drive north to the Cormet the Roselend ( • Driving the Col de Mér... ). To the south there are various options, such as the Col du Mont-Cenis (to Italy), or the Col du Télégraphe ( • Driving the Col du Té... ).

I used this for cycling and slow it down to .25 up the hill from Val d'Isere. Putting on my rollerbank maximum resistance, I had the same feeling when I was at the top. Thank you for making my training effort worthwile!

I spent a lot of time on these roads filming a Lance Armstrong film in 2013...the exposure in some areas was stomach turning...but just stunning.

The only drawback to these wonderful 4K videos is that it's a constant reminder that I'll never be able to afford to do these trips through majestic Alpine scenery myself- however, your fantastic videos are absolutely brilliant for v-cycling to, and I'm really thankful you haven't put awful 'mood music' over the soundtrack- we just get the sounds of the engine and that's exactly what is needed. Many thanks for these great uploads, and when I win the Euro Lottery, I intend to visit Col de l'Iseran and others in reality!!

Wow! Absolutely spectacular. Saved the best for last. Southbound, once over the summit, one has - before reaching the beautiful valley floor - 15 minutes of either terror or French alpine splendor, depending on one's point of view.

Yes its something with the camera...the A/D not converting fast enough...tree leaves and other small stuff slow updating in steps...
Nicer on Bonneval side. The straight lines are so huge on Val d'Isère side, must be long with a bike !

Thanks! Used a media mod for external power, and a separate microphone inside the car, so that it wasn't directly in the wind.
Beautiful scenery but these roads are scary narrow. What do the white arrows on the road surface actually mean. I assume they mean turns and corners but they often appear where there are none of those?

Les routes d'altitude sont fermées 6 mois par an, impossible de déneiger avec des barrières, en plus il y a des pistes de ski qui passent ici!
