Wine bottle in check-in bag is not very smart... If it breaks it will ruin your stuff and also other people stuff.. You should pack our bag so that you can comfortably drop it from 2m. Sounds excessive, but the bags get a ruff ride.
At least the wine won't ruin his quads, radio and goggles...

Im currently traveling with 10x 6s LIPOs from Houston to Frankfurt. Hopefully I’m not going to be grilled too much.
Whenever I see all your "Backup quads" I wonder how much money you must have spent on this hobby. I mean I build my second quad in a few days and i spent like 1300€ on my two quads, predator V2 and a Dx6i... And I don't have any spare parts for frames or electronics.

Im in China right now and they checked everything. Since I dont know how to speak much chinese, when they asked me what something was I would say it in english and they were really confused.
Actually we're only allowed to get LiPo batteries to the plane at storage capacity and in separate fireproof envelopes, we're just lucky security don't pay attention.

The hardest time I had travelling with multirotors and lipos was a domestic flight from my local airport (Newcastle upon Tyne) to London Heathrow. The rest of the journey to Brisbane was a breeze, and even garnered fascination from the security personnel. The second most difficult occasion was when I forgot to take out a water bottle (back in the UK on the return flight in Heathrow). They were more annoyed at the water bottle, and smiled about the quad & lipos...go figure... :) rules is rules!
Definitely airport dependent. Dubai security will confiscate lipos. how many depends on the security dude on the day. 5 out of 10 were taken from me a couple of weeks back. ill probably lose another 3 on my return to Oz.

I went to visit my friends in Ireland and flew Aer Lingus and on their website it said you couldn't bring lipos. about a week later I saw you posted a video in Ireland with all of you're gear and busted out laughing. but this video helped a lot can't wait until my next trip.

TBH, I got stopped once and asked me what was in my lipo back, of course the big writing that said "THERE IS LIPO INSIDE HERE" wasnt enough. But dont worry, in Italy nobody stop you, I got very little issues with liquid or else than everywhere else.
Maybe next destination is the land of nowhere ( CH )

Just a headsup if you want to travel in Indonesia. Never put any valuable things on your check-in bag. Soon as they know you have a drone in your bag, they will cut your bag, stole your drone, then wrap your bag like they don't give a shit. There is a lot of thief in our airports. Not every airports, but many of them. My brother even lost his banana chips he bought on his vacation, along with other stuffs.

So I had a problem where I was about to bring my quad and everything was sorted but when I checked in online, it said no 'lithium batteries' in restriction with the airline, does that mean no lipos at all?
I wouldn't worry about it, just put your lipos (at storage voltage) in a puncture-safe bag and check them

Hi. I think this question you answered many times but I can't find this info about TBS audio and s. audio at same time. Only thing I found was an electric scheme with 100 nF capacitor 100 Ohm resistor (github.com/betaflight/betaflight/wiki/Unify-Smartaudio). But it doesn't work for me :-). How do you use TBS for audio? Thank you.

I took 12 LiPos through BWI's security once and they swabbed all 12 for explosive material. I was like "really?", "You're going to swab an explosive for explosive material, Hahahaha!" I didn't say that, but I was thinking it at the same time.

I actually had a hard case that I checked in as luggage with my radio, goggles, tools and spare parts. So I can't say I have ever tried to take items like that through security check.
