- 2023 was an emotional tough year for us in many ways, but it was also a blessed year. We have two babies on the way, grew as a family, and learned many lessons. I feel that I grew spiritually and deepened my relationship with God and I am forever grateful for that. Please comment below and tell me something you learned in 2023. I could have written the same thing . Praying for my son since birth 34 years for a Christian wife. Seeing these girls gives me hope that he will find someone with their values . These girls are so sweet and precious beyond measure.
I like the two previous comments have prayed my 30 year old son will find a good Godly wife someday. Having a soul mate is one of God’s greatest blessings. Also have an unmarried 45 year old son praying for also. This was a sweet heartfelt vlog, God bless you all.

Honey, as an old lady, trust me we understand about how hard life can be for us. Christians don’t have a carefree, worry free life. I’m so thankful to have discovered your videos and getting to watch you both grow spiritually n mentally. Your family is precious to me because first, you guys are mountain people, 2. Your strong faith in God and not ashamed to share it. 3. You two are so beautiful inside and out. Your body is changing and that baby bump is so stinking adorable. I was telling my daughter how excited I was that you both are having boys and how wonderful it was going to be for to grew up together on the mountain. 😊❤

Sweet Corie, don’t you ever hesitate to show your tears! It’s one of the things that makes you and Katie so precious. I’ve lived many more years (almost 84) than you and I can say a hearty “amen” to your testimony! There have never been any waters too deep or fiery trials too hard but that our Lord has not carried me through. I have learned that it is suffering that molds a Believer and equips us to comfort and encourage others. That is JUST what you do, Dear Girl! 🙏🙏💖💖

Hi Corie, God is good ❤ I followed McKenna story and it’s truly a miracle. I to lost and cousin and two friends from my church family last year. Death is bearable because of Jesus and the promise that we will see our loved ones again. Praying that 2024 will bring good to all.

Corie, I totally understand. I myself have had a difficult 2023. I lost my precious mom, cancer scare of best friend and my special dog of 15 years passed. Still processing and keeping God close. God be with you and your special family❤

This video is precious in many ways. Thank you for sharing from your heart. Walking through the fire is never easy, but The One who walks with us brings us through it and our hair is not singed and we don’t smell of smoke. He faithfully brings us through every time, and when we get to the other side, we are stronger! I am looking forward to watching all of His goodness come upon you and overtake you and all your family this year.
What a beautiful testimony. I lost my mama the night before Thanksgiving of '22. It wasn't expected but she had been the sole caretaker, with our help, of my stepfather who had dementia for almost ten years. She was the type that she was very particular on who would help with his care. She was 73 years old. Now my father had cancer from agent Orange exposure from serving three tours in Vietnam. She also took care of him for five years before she remarried. I was the only child along with my husband, three children and one great grandson. We were her world. Her little body was just wore out. She was the best mother anyone could ask for. I know that the night she laid there and took her last breath, the Lord needed her more. Like you, it was the most peaceful feeling I had ever had. She was with me when I took my first breath and I was with her when she took her last. Some days are better than others but I know they are all waiting for me on the other side. We all don't have long. Live everyday like it's your last. I appreciate so much yours and Katie's videos. The singing and stories really touch my heart. You're all so lucky to have each other.

I would like to do more talks about life,God/Jesus and how he blesses us and strengthens us through our journey. Whether we go through ❤ ache he comforts us ..through lifes storms he helps us get through.Some of my hardest lessons were where God was working the most and revealing things to me.We all have alot to recieve from him, and to.share with each other the blessings and insight and wisdom..I look forward to hearing from you all and God Bless!

Gosh, it's just been non-stop for you and your family this past year, hasn't it? Hope you all are staying well!
While you were talking about having peace when you would expect not to a scripture came to mind. 9 And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness. Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. " 2 Corinthians 12:9 He does give us peace and the strength to keep going through difficulties. When you called out to him for help physically and when your heart cried out for the loss of loved ones. Sometimes we don't even have the words to ask the Lord for what we need or want it comes out more in groanings and sometimes tears. He hears you. Bless you dear one, my sister in Christ.

Our 2023 has been very eventful. There have been great blessings and deep trials and challenges. I have seen God and his faithfulness in both.

I'm from the midwest but I spent 13 years in my 20s in Eastern KY and West Virginia and I've always thought of it as home in my heart. The love and community, the Christian values, knowing family and friends are wealth, the stubborn self sufficiency and survival.... I was happy to earn my place, being half Yankee, and I became family.
God led me back to the midwest and this is where he wants me for now. I'm content with that, but my heart is still in the mountains. You girls are so blessed to be who you are and where you are. I know it was God that led me to your channel and it's just so special to share a glimpse of normalcy, kindness, honesty, and so much hope in you girls and your family.

I remember when Katie announced her pregnancy I felt a tug to remind her that her journey in navigating the hard and imperfect parts of life with grace and a dependence on God *is* the way we’re meant to do this. You’re deserving of that same reminder. God’s promise of an easy yoke and a light burden doesn’t guarantee we’ll be without years like 2023; it just means we have the gracious cushion of knowing God will deliver us from all of it. We’re too imperfect and flawed for “easy”, but His promise is of deliverance through that hardship. You hit the nail on the head when you said that faith feels so much different with experience and that actually going through something makes that faith so much stronger and personal. That’s a gift in and of itself. Both you and Katie have done a tremendous thing in living out your faith - be it perfect or wavering, easy or difficult, steeped in simple trust or the experiences of life’s hills and valleys (or, most likely, all of the above) - publicly for us to share in and gain strength from. Thank you from the friends you’ve made near and far, from many different walks of life, who share in the ups and downs that continually shape the faith we share. ❤️

I really liked hearing about the faith/fear comparison. I have never put the two in that perspective & learned so much from the last few minutes of your video. This has been a hard year for me since I lost my husband of 59 years but I have seen God working in me & with me as I deal with the future ahead without him. As you were giving the faith and fear thought, I drew a see-saw that had the word "Faith" on the side in the air and "Fear"on the side on the ground.
I think that's a battle for each of us, to keep faith up and fear down.
I completely understand relying on Jehovah. I don't have much but I have my needs. Getting older, new aches n pains nothing serious. I really have no reason to complain when there are so many others around me struggling more. I do better at staying positive and turning it over to God. His peace and comfort carry me through each day and all the obstacles Satan throws at us. Luv you all and enjoy the love you all have for one another 😊
First of all, you are enough. Are we not fearfully and wonderfully made? Psalms 139:14. You are exactly as God made you to be. 2 Corinthians 12 9-10 says that our weakness gives us strength through Christ. Take joy in being what you are and the things you deal with. Through those feelings of not being enough, Christ strength is magnified in us. God bless you and keep you. His will be done.
Hi Cori , my biggest problem is I worry to much . I worry before things even happen. I pray to God when I drive to work. I pray to God on my way home, and I pray to God when I go to sleep. I’ll actually share a tear when I see a commercial for the SPCA. I’ll get upset when I see a movie and I try to hide tears. My wife always looks at me and say’s “ what are you crying for now “ . I always say I’m not crying. but reality I am and I catch myself doing it. I just don’t know why. I read where they said it could be signs of depression. but it’s really not. It’s just that I’m very very sensitive. years ago my wife had two miscarriages one in three months and one at two months. she was very depressed and thought I’d be really upset , but then I told her it must’ve been a reason for it. I told her maybe neither one of us was to blame. It was just the way God wanted it to be. maybe he was protecting us and maybe having a unhealthy baby. I always look at that there’s a reason. As I get older, I’m more worried about the future. It seems there’s more bills to pay. There’s other things that we have to worry about that we didn’t do in our 20s and 30s. I have a cross hanging from my mirror in the car , and every day, I kiss it wish God would watch over my wife and I throughout the day. I’m going to tell you something and I mean this and I should be telling this to the psychiatrist but, at times I’m afraid to live and then there are times im afraid to die. I hope I didn’t bother you with all this. I listen to you very closely, and I’m gonna try to do what you said about the new year. Good luck with your baby and God bless you and your husband.
Corie, God never closes one door without opening another. This year has been very trying for your family, but also full of many blessings. There is a song called Thank You for the Storm. Many different singers have done it here on TH-cam, I recommend listening to it if you haven't. Without the pain and sorrows of this world, we wouldn't know God's peace. We wouldn't be thankful for the sunshine if it weren't for the rain. Praying this year has more good times than bad, for everyone. God bless and stay safe!!
Why would you put Katie's pregnancy in the same category with all the sad things happened in your life. I think that a baby is a gift from God.
I did not mean it as a sad thing, I simply meant 2023 has been full of huge life events. Of course her baby is a blessing.
Amazingly revealing and the testimony of your faith is incredibly inspiring. You help us all grow with you in your life journey. Please just allow yourself to experience the same amount of grace that you selflessly extend to others… because your light to us shines and originates from deep within. Let life pass with highs and lows to know You always have God’s peace… and to feel and experience of humanness for this walk with God begets Wisdom.

God doesn’t promise us an easy life BUT he does promise that he will never leave or forsake you. Learning each day about life and our relationship with God is what each of us should strive for each day. You and your family are great examples of leaning and learning more about God each day.

I really enjoyed your video. You explain things in such a way that I can almost feel your emotion. You have a very big spirit and your love of God shows. It's good that you can look within and you're working on your self-seeking. Don't beat yourself up trying to do better. I pray and seek God's will. If I am trying to understand how to carry out God's will, then I feel that He is strengthening me and that is what I should dwell on, not my weaknesses.

Most of 2023 I was isolated stay at home mom , not really having friends or family around and I prayed to God to send me encouraging people into my life because I did feel so alone, and I truly believe he did by me finding y'all's channels. I may not know you but just know that I love you and your family and I pray that God continues to hold you in his loving hands and blesses y'all so much more! 🧡
