London Underground train driver accidentally takes commuters to abandoned station that's been closed for 25 years.
A Jubilee Line train took a wrong turn and instead of going to Westminster, took its passengers to Charing Cross' Jubilee Line station.

Sounds. Like a points failure
Not drivers fault
As a retired train driver i can tell you its the signalmans fault
its the signaller's fault
When you get sent to Hobbs End by mistake that's when you're in trouble.
This isn't the fault of the driver
Sounds like a lack of communication between the control room and the driver of the affected train. If the driver had been informed of the plan to send the train to the siding at Charing Cross they would have made sure all passengers had disembarked before proceeding to Charing Cross. On a side note why does the video show a Bakerloo line train when it was a Jubilee line train affected?
When the jubilee line was first opened they didn't have trains so they used the bakerloo ones
How is this not major news? Was the train making different sounds on the tracks? What does the train look like when it is at Charing cross? I'm so pissed off i wasn't on that train. Like actually.
Why is the title worded like the Driver did that on purpose. It was a signalling issue.
Cos the driver is supposed to check they have the correct signal. Signaller and driver are at fault
But this could have been one of the considerations that may be Jubilee lines could once extend back to Charing Cross station after Green Park like how it was in 1999
Yes, as if the driver accidentally took a wrong turning at the Basingstoke roundabout or something...
Glad that we can rely on MyLondon for rigorous, well-researched journalism.
No man missed out
I wish i was on that train.
That is a 1972mkII stock train when it served the Jubilee line, when the line opened, it now serves the Bakerloo line,
It also helped out on the Northern line along with the mk1 and some of the 1959 stock when spare 1959 stock went to the Bakerloo line to get rid of the 1938 stock
How was this allowed to happen?
The doors should have opened for a surprise jubilee line train to charing cross
There are CSDE markers there so it would be possible. Shame they couldn't let passengers off for it
The station is shut so they cat escape@@OffTheRailsUK
@@realfrowz They could always just reactivate the escalators if permitted and open up the doors to the main area of CHX

Other cities unconnect their abandoned stations.
They still drive trains in to Charing Cross when they have to terminate at Green Park, and it's also a useful filming location as it's still accessible by trains but would not cause any disruption to the network.
LOL !!!
how funny..
It is the drivers fault - he did not ensure that the train was empty.
Did you even bother to watch the video.
This was a mistake of the control center.
Someone couldn't be arsed to watch the video
