    HW and the Sooze check out some liquid profiles and discuss if they really are better than previous profiles.

    Yes, it's definitely better because you get rid of those hundreds of profiles. You take ONE profile and use it like you plug into the amp. It's kind of what modelers do. Much easier.

    Better because you now have the best of both worlds: a bunch of profiles made by people who know these amps and their sweet spots, but also a generic amp that - as a user - you have total control over and don’t feel like you have to search through a bunch of profiles to find the one that’s closest to the sound you want. You can adjust them yourself and the amp will respond accordingly.
    I don’t have a bunch of amps to compare my Kemper with, but I like the way the LPs sound when I adjust them. I was never very happy with tweaking profiles…

    Please do a Liquid Profile of your AC50. That's become my favourite profile set ever

    Dang Sooze! I waited a week for your diplomatic, noncommittal answer 😂
    To be honest, I don’t blame you. It’s all going to come down to personal preference. We have survived for years without it. Although I can see the use of it, where the guitar isn’t cutting through the mix, and changes/tweaks can be made on the fly.
    Blessings and have a great one!

    Tone Junkie liquid profile rock pack please. Mesa, Friedman, Diezel, etc. I think they sounds better. Your profiles sound great.

    Not necessarily better. Although, with these I have been finally able to have a valid and great Lead and High Gainish tone that does not sound like if there is a cooked wah in there, they respond different, they sound cleaner, and the gain is just thick, tight, or smooth and wooly, if you so want to without that cooked Wah effect previous profiles always had. Liquid Profiles have Depth to them. Regardless if clean, edge of breakup, high gain. I am still using good old Tonejunkie Match Spit H 4 (performance slot 3) from the Praises - Be lifted up performance, since its my favorite and my go to for almost everything. But now being able to have a great lead and solo preset from one of the MBritt Marshall tones is just great, like I said, no cooked wah sound no more. Anyways, thank you as always HW and Tonejunkie!!!

    Good sounds, but I had a 63 vox ac30 amp back in the day and to my ears the kemper is nothing like it

    • @Respecttheriff
      @Respecttheriff ปีที่แล้ว

      I get that if you're comparing "in the room" sounds but when comparing "mic'd" amp sounds, you can achieve very similar results IMO. The KPA is not a device that replaces an in the room amp sound, if that's what you're comparing, it's an unfair statement

    • @algorithm007ify
      @algorithm007ify ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Respecttheriff sorry but Kemper can replace "in the room" amp sounds...via Kemper Kone speaker imprints. You are otherwise right though, the sounds here are mic'ed cab sounds..

    • @Respecttheriff
      @Respecttheriff ปีที่แล้ว

      @@algorithm007ify my statement is “in general”. Personally I dislike the Kone. I use the Valvetrain Powertrain for monitoring with great results, but no matter, I’m not gonna tell you this sound replaces an in the room sound. There are still differences there.

      @@algorithm007ify Just plug the kemper power head into an actual speaker and it’s pretty much there. Cabinet is the most important part!
