"I've always associated covenant with witches and magic" I think you're thinking of a coven, meaning a group of witches that work together. A covenant is basically a mutual promise, or a solemn agreement. A marriage is a special kind of covenant, so that's likely why it seems similar to you. (Although I'd hope marriage is a LITTLE less transactional than just giving a girl gifts in exchange for affection. I realize that it's only a game mechanic and the story puts a bit more substance in the relationship between the Commander and the dolls, but still...)

How do you turn on English subtitles? It would be helpful for the Public Area when Mayling decides to talk, although she seems to cycle through panic and relief most of the time.

I know, if someone never played the original GF1 game, and/or only play on one platform they probably never notice it, but those who may play on PC and phone too, might find a lot of issues with their accounts and it could lead a major security (or investment) issues. And yet, the only thing I found is a single person on google play who didn't understood why his PC gameplay not appear on the mobile version.. Well.. It's a sign of a much bigger issue.

Well, the funny part GFL 1 battle pass does give you a free ring however, it’s RNG when you complete it. Then again GFL 1 is very F2P friendly you get the currency of the game for free if you log every 7 days of a week of 30 gems, which is multiplied per week most months have 4 weeks so in total you’re getting 120 gems meaning every one month total if it’s 4 weeks you will have 300 gems however it does reset on the next month. And a ring will cost you 580 gems basically will cost you 1.9 months. But my best part for getting the free ring was a bug on the CN server for GFL 1 they released a new mini-game during this time anyone who does war games or the chessboard 100% orange juice If you do ranking every time you level up, you will get the same amount of ring per level. It’s the first time I know they had to reset the whole server.
@@paponpongperezolmedo5039 No, but nowadays almost every popular gacha game does that for their "main characters" so it's not that much of a reach if you think about it. Especially if in the story when our four main Dolls would be fighting way stronger enemies and they'd be in need of an upgrade.

So it not realy help if a character you never play is 5% stronger. 😅
Meta is inevitably powercreeped anyways right? Makes putting ring on waifu make even more sense.
