It's fine, what the people in comments say isn't going to be the final decision. The person's own research and decision matching with the others commenting gives some confidence regarding the decision, at the end you should chose what interests you the most and what you can manage and deliver the best from. But only those comments should be considered which justify the reason behind their choice in a sensible manner with proper facts.
Thank you sir for whatever you did for all of us. I was a partial dropper ( actually was left with only this option as my parents were not allowing me to go for a full drop last year.) So somehow I managed to prepare myself with self study , guidance from your videos and some other channels with whatever time available. I manage to improve in mains from 47k to 18k this time and in advance,from not qualifying last year to 14k this time(thanks to pg advance illustrations 💎) Though it is not a tremendous achievement,but for me it is the satisfaction of not having any regrets and I tried again even if situation is against me and did everything what was in my hand so I prepared for it even in tough conditions.And as you said "life ki kisi bhi race main finishing line tak apni puri jan laga ke daudna hai , give up nahi karna hai ,result jo bhi ho" Thank you sir 🙏

For all students getting low branches at iits ,remember, in iits only 60%of the subject is compulsory 40%is optional so you have to choose.therefore if you have to go for research or you have to do an abroad masters go for iits,because it has high brand value and the recommendations from iit professor's are import for your abroad masters,

you should choose a good combination of college+branch depending on your future goals. CSE leni hai to iska matlab ye nhi ki IIT Guwahati ki chemical chor ke IIIT Guwahati ki CSE lelo.
One thing I can tell , don't choose branch according to package. Choose the branch what your heart says and what you are most interested in ( if your rank can)

IIT Roorkee. If you can work hard you can do CSE with chemical/civil/EP. Infact you will be more focused towards learning. Ppl take these branches for granted but the beauty of these branches is that you can do other things with them.

if you are sure about upsc 100% pick iit delhi as delhi is a coaching hub and textile is a light branch too. Otherwise without upsc considering placements and all prefer madras meta then kanpur meta then roorkee meta then delhi textile and guwahati civil are on par

Almost everyone is going on and on on learning coding.BUT REMEMBER the current technology progress is not halted by programming buy it's ENERGY and COMPUTING POWER. I THINK IN COMING YEARS E.C.E branch will shine more than cs branch. No. Agar mehnat karni hai to IITB jake waha 1st year me karo. Good CGPA means branch change kar sakte ho. Mehnat dono me almost equal hogi but waha jake you'll be a bit more relaxed.

It's fine, what the people in comments say isn't going to be the final decision. The person's own research and decision matching with the others commenting gives some confidence regarding the decision, at the end you should chose what interests you the most and what you can manage and deliver the best from. But only those comments should be considered which justify the reason behind their choice in a sensible manner with proper facts.

I was a partial dropper ( actually was left with only this option as my parents were not allowing me to go for a full drop last year.)
So somehow I managed to prepare myself with self study , guidance from your videos and some other channels with whatever time available.
I manage to improve in mains from 47k to 18k this time and in advance,from not qualifying last year to 14k this time(thanks to pg advance illustrations 💎)
Though it is not a tremendous achievement,but for me it is the satisfaction of not having any regrets and I tried again even if situation is against me and did everything what was in my hand so I prepared for it even in tough conditions.And as you said "life ki kisi bhi race main finishing line tak apni puri jan laga ke daudna hai , give up nahi karna hai ,result jo bhi ho"

For all students getting low branches at iits ,remember, in iits only 60%of the subject is compulsory 40%is optional so you have to choose.therefore if you have to go for research or you have to do an abroad masters go for iits,because it has high brand value and the recommendations from iit professor's are import for your abroad masters,

In these two and a half years I've only taken five days off at max. Even missed a Switzerland trip during 11th Diwali.. So yeah kept myself motivated and grinded every single day.

Sir please guide I want to do coding and wanted to coding job in future what should I do iit guwahati chemical iit dhanbad electrical and than do coding or dtu nsit cse adv 5400 main 7998 I heard that people with minor in cs in general are not that good as a guy with main degree of cs and people with minor in cs kinda get clarikal job and guy with main degree of cs get good quality job in same company I think I would be able to focus solely on cs in dtu but have to leave iit seat ( tough for me)
Final decision is up to u, but remember iit tag is very imp in itself & iit Guwahati is growing very rapidly , & u can code there also, if still not satisfied go with dtu

Agar high career hamari mehnat passion se banta hai toh how is college in anyway responsible for our placement. Phir toh me nit me apne interest ki branch me extreme mehnat karlu other than taking a lower branch in iit.
The question here is why is nobody talking about the interest of a student? I personally feel like this education system is shit. Im very much interested in coding and i have been doing it already, i have 6k rank in advance and 7k in mains, everyone is just pressurizing me to take up lower branches in iits rather than circuital in top nits. Why should i take it? Its easy to say that kisi aur branch me bethke coding karlo, lekin woh branch b toh padni hai for 4 years? Uska kya? Nahi pada jaayega na padna hai. Agar tum lougo k IIT IIT IIT karne se kuch bada hora hota na ,aj india kaafi aage hota development me. Bahar countries me dekho koi kisi ko force ni karta apna decision kisi k interest k upar thopke. It is a Bsc degree. MnC guwahati is a better option if you want MnC. If I were you, I would go for cs in hyderabad or dual degree cs in kharagpur.

Because the syllabus that I checked for the branch is mostly physics and computer science oriented and I'm very much into the 2 subjects and your advice helped me a lot in finalising my decision.

@@dasgoood2811 Thanks for the advice bro but I here didn't choose on the basis of placements but on what is the listed syllabus under the branch the syllabus that is limited to the core of the branch and hence I found myself more comfortable amd confident about Computational mechanics.
Almost everyone is going on and on on learning coding.BUT REMEMBER the current technology progress is not halted by programming buy it's ENERGY and COMPUTING POWER. I THINK IN COMING YEARS E.C.E branch will shine more than cs branch. Again that's my thinking also my regret that I did coding even after having ECE.i got good job but still I regret my descision of choosing coding over my core studies.

@@shriramchoudhary2445 EC gives more flexibility as you can go for core electronics job as well. Rest you can check the curriculum of both and choose what you feel interesting enough

No. Agar mehnat karni hai to IITB jake waha 1st year me karo. Good CGPA means branch change kar sakte ho. Mehnat dono me almost equal hogi but waha jake you'll be a bit more relaxed.
