This is real music. It didn’t matter if you were black or white. Everybody danced to this song back in the 70’s. Honey, you are listening to real music. Enjoy.

It's sad how people like to talk about how racist and nasty to each other America was in the past. But there was a lot of love and brotherhood around, and that doesn't get the recognition it deserves.

Some folks are only interested in pointing out that small fraction of people who represent the negative aspect of life and make it sound like it's the vast majority.

@@readhistory2023 Yeah, Disco started before the movie but the movie brought it to main stream America. When the movie came out it was sort of the pinnacle of Disco. In NYC area anyway. To me Disco was just funk and R&B mixed together. Disco was pretty much over by the 80's.. Funny thing "Son of Sam" sort of helped end disco too. He was basically stalking the disco clubs in 77and 78 looking for his victims and the girls started getting afraid to go. No girls no guys.

Let me tell you when I was growing up in the 1970s there was a lot of love for all the peoples of our nation, but still pockets of hate of course, and it is sad to see that hate today, though disguised as something else. A classic, from a period in which it could justifiably be said disco ruled the world. Certainly this music is to pop culture what Mozart might be to the classical. It's appeal is in a groove that I sometimes feel now is lost behind technology - but maybe that's just me getting old!

I am a 65 year old man from the north of England United Kingdom, i am in isolation like a lot of people all over the world during these terrible times. As i am having trouble sleeping i spend my time looking for music, I happened to come across your site and have spent the last 6 and a half hours watching you listening and reacting to a vast assortment of music Genres. All i want to say is you have a passion and enthusiasm no matter what you are listening to, what is impressive is the diversity of music and the vast timescale i.e 1950's to modern day that you are willing to listen to. You are a breath of fresh air in a rancid world, you seem to be a beautiful person both inside and out, and it has been a pleasure and privilege to have spent this time watching you, i have subscribed and will be an avid follower and you also reviwed my favorite song of all time Disco Inferno by The Trammps. A little over a decade ago, I was listening to a music program on the BBC World Service on my shortwave/world band radio. They played Tina Turner's cover of "Disco Inferno", that became a hit in the UK music charts at that time. You might want to listen to it in your free time, India.

The late 70s were another era of styles. Disco was really big, and so many other things were going on. I''ll have to write down all the decades from the 50s - 90s, describe and fill them in with all involved... then study it haha...
