      Learn from a native, like I did. I'm amazing at it because I learned from an actual Japanese, not some foreigner who thinks she knows how to speak it.

      There are several components to studying Japanese . A place I discovered which succeeds in merging these is the Japanese Magic Method (google it if you're interested) without a doubt the most incredible remedy that I've found. Look at the extraordinary information .

    Seriously loved this video. I've absolutely crucified myself trying to learn Japanese over the past 18 months. Moved to Japan, study three hours a day, take 1 on 1 lessons, ANKI, Genki 1 and 2 twice. Still feel like I can't speak a damn word of this crazy language. But I understood all of that and feel like I was pretty much at the same level as Boomer after 5 months :D Total inspiration! Thanks.

    This is the second time that I watched this video. The first time that I watched this was I'm still not learning nihonggo and I didn't understand all of what they are saying unless i turn on the subs. But now, I understand all of it without subs. I've been self studying japanese for 1 year and I'm so proud bcoz I understand them now😢. I thought I was not making a progress but seeing this video and understands all of it make me so proud even though I'm still at the beginner phase huhuhu. But doing my best to study japanese がんばります。ありがとうごうざいます。

    Honestly, these videos where you talk to him about basic things are so so so helpful for me to watch without subtitles - as a beginner I only understand like 40% of it but its such simple stuff and you express yourself so well that I can pick up from context and still keep up. It's seriously like an immersive lesson. You should make this a series.

  • @JSCG12

    This was actually a really great video to play along with! It felt almost like having a conversation, which is great since I never have the opportunity to actually do that. More of this sort of thing for those of us who are also learning would be super helpful. (If you'd like to make them of course)

  • @stephaniem8278
    @stephaniem8278 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Watching this has made me realize that I came a LONG way in about 3 months time because I could watch without subs, only missed a word or two here and there, and I could pause and respond too in a somewhat conversational pace. My reading and writing are quite a bit beyond this stage and include about 200 kanji. My conversation skills are a little lacking, I get stuck on new words when I hear them and forget the rest of the sentence, and I need help with pronunciation... but I would feel confident if put to the same test.
    For perspective, I had the whole summer free to study, so the fact that he did this while working full time is impressive! Thank you for this video and I really hope to see more videos like this!

    Thank you for this video. This gives me hope. I should have tried to learn Japanese a long time ago, but I didn't. I was busy learning Spanish and I am happy to say that I am fluent in Spanish. Now, I have a husband who snores loud like a chain saw and a 2.5 year old (I'm now teaching her & my Mom Spanish). I actually thought that Japanese might be too difficult for me to learn with all of the distractions and sleep deprivation, but if others can learn on a heavy schedule, then I think there is hope.

    This was interesting to watch as someone learning basic Japanese. I was able to figure out what Loretta was saying sometimes and learned some new words :3

    Pimsleur is very good for basic speaking practice. It helps a lot, especially with grammatical structures. My only "complaint" is that there needs to be an "intermediate" version to take you beyond a 600 word vocabulary...anyway, good job!
